I really like reading this and I think that it is a great idea. Maybe you could make a chapter for Hedwig, Dobby, or Snape.

You might throw in a twist where Voldemort is reborn as one of the children the potters adopt, or is born to them latter on

I always wished that Voldemort would turn somewhat good, but I knew it would never happen with his character. But I think your story will be good anyway...
