Very interesting version of what Ron was dealing with while waiting for Harry's return from the Chamber of Secrets. One slight continuity error cropped up, though: Harry tossed Lockhart's wand out the window of the DADA office after he Disarmed the incompetent idiot. Lockhart woud never be able to regain his wand after that. Considering how high up the office is, it probably broke on impact with the ground. Snape would have had to clear the rockslide alone, what with Ron's wand being broken. And Lockhart would have had to use Snape's wand to fix his hair. Ron's wand is unsuited to casting anything.

In any case, I liked Snape's reactions to being snuck up on by the most incompetent professor on staff. And Snape's expression when Harry returned with Ginny. Very well done.

Lockhart having his wand in this, for Snape to give it to Ron, bothers me, since it was thrown out the window when they were still in the DADA office, and it was because it was gone that Lockhart used Ron's. Not that it's that big a deal...

It was one of those fice that if perfect when you want something lightly amusing to read... nothing too heavy, but not crack up roll around the floor laughing either.

The highlight, of course, was when Snape punched Lockhart in the face. I thought he was never going to do something, and the Harraah!

BTW how 'did' Lockhart manage to lift the wands from Sev in the first place... ? Must have been one light feather touch on the annoying pounce's part. LOL!

I have been searching for a Ron learns to like Sev fic (before/without Harry)... and this just gave my fancy a little lift do you know of any others... perhaps a little more indepth, or longer even?
