Kind of sad, that Broadie was always surrounded by people who - supposedly - were devoted to her, as she was devoted to them, and in the end, everyone left her, which was partly her own fault. At any rate, the short exchange between Gordon and Teddy sort of brought into focus Jean's descent into loneliness. Very poignant.

Wow - I never thought this novel would inspire fanfiction! Though I'm not sure Miss Brodie is such a morally "magnificent" character, she's certainly charismatic enough to haunt these two men after her death... very interesting reading!
