I have been reading fictions for Merlin before I actually watched the show, but now I have watched all the episodes for series/season one. So I can give you this review having been all caught up. ;)

I like the pleasant simplicity of this one-off. I think prefer that to the out-and-out Arwen romances, because that is where the pair is on the show as of 'Le Morte d'Arthur' They don't have a romance really started, just the hints of one in the future.

This ficlet seems to continue that theme and no one is dreadfully out of character. I also like the hint at the end where it suggests that perhaps one day that Guinevere will be Arthur's sanctuary. That simple and lovely.
