Time and Fate 2009-10-07 . chapter 13I really love your fic. The integration into the end of the series was flawless. I can't wait to see where this goes! |
Morwen Tindomerel 2009-10-01 . chapter 13I can't say I'm surprised by what happened to Chari - however I wonder if Carolyn might not have kept her contract if Chari hadn't made the mistake of showing attachment to the baby? |
MAndrews 2009-09-24 . chapter 13Caroline is unquestionably one of the best OCs I've ever encountered in any fandom. |
cHr0n0sPh3r3 2009-08-22 . chapter 12Excellent story, i just adore the story, keep writing because this has been favourtited =D |
ermintrude421 2009-08-20 . chapter 12This is an amazing epic. It's well-written, well-plotted and almost like Joss himself was writing it. I especially liked Mal's bumbling when he found out Zoe was pregnant--last! LOL! How typically Mal. You've got everyone spot on--and I love your continuing saga of the 'verse and life in it. Eagerly looking forward to more! Keep it coming--I'm on the edge of me seat. |
RionaEire 2009-08-19 . chapter 12Hm. The propeganda scene was entertaining, I've always found propeganda amusing on one end and disturbing on the other, funny because it is so out of proportion and disturbing because it really can move the masses, whether its true or not. But your propeganda scene was really enjoyable. As for the rest of the chapter I feel like this has all gotten huge, bigger than I enjoy reading, what with everyone spread out all over the place and what not. So I do think this is the point where I will be hopping off this freight train, I've had a blast and loved the story and all the things you've done, but now I think its time. I do however find it amusing that River has observed the same things, about the lesser of two evils, that I've always thought of about Caroline, the alterior motives, the tastes of power etc. I'm sure you will continue getting loads of reviews so I know you will get on fine without mine. You've done amazing things and I wish the story plenty of readers going forward.

Thanks for sharing. |
RionaEire 2009-07-06 . chapter 11I really liked the scene with Zoe and the radio, both because it was really funny with commercials and all and because the radio is used as a way to explain what is going on, listening to it reminds her of Wash, the baby etc. as well as telling us what is going on with Caroline's efforts. I like how you are able to convey the muddy truth about the situation: the Republic is doing well now but I get this feeling that it could become corrupted at some point, just as the Alliance is, the liquidity of politics and the ease with which it is corrupted. I don't know if that's what you're insinuating or if I'm just an inherantly cautious/suspicious person, but right now things are going well so that is good. Good thing for the crew that Miss River woke up lucid and saved them all. Its always fun when River saves the day, and the way she did it was really funny and made me laugh, especially the whole bit about squealing hamster on imphedimines :) silly stuff but hey it works.

Bytemite 2009-07-05 . chapter 11Super-genius combination of cats screeching and nails on chalkboard, go!
Excellent commentary on political pundit "newscasts" too. Also: those song lyrics are lovely, as is the idea that pop-songs of today may have become childhood songs in the 25th century. |
RionaEire 2009-05-25 . chapter 10As exciting as Caroline's declaration of independence is, I can't help but wonder if her use of my one of my favorite sayings will ultimately echo in her own experience, I wonder if absolute power may corrupt _her absolutely as time goes on. Interesting and not surprising to see that Zoe was the one who hung on to the cause before, after the war was over. I'm glad Mal and Inara finally admitted what we've known all along but the scene, though written well, was sort of anticlimatic, all of the sudden the truth was out and they were kissing. I suppose though that real life is rather anticlimatic so maybe that was a good choice. It makes me curious to know what Caroline would do if she found out River's wits are touched, she has "I can't handle touched folk" written all over her so it would be interesting to see what would happen though for the purposes of this story it is best she doesn't find out. And then there is the whole psychic assassin component which I suspect Caroline would handle better than the altered wits component. I'm sure everyone is letting out a sigh of relief that River's mind stayed pretty lucid during that meeting. Caroline might wonder though due to a little bit of cryptic talk though I think that questioning, if it happened at all, was overshadowed by the revelation that Capt. Reynolds' crew is responsible for the wave. Oh, and I like how you said Mal "swore reverently", two words that don't usually go together but work so well for Mal.

ElvenBookwyrm 2009-05-23 . chapter 10I'm really loving this so far - the actions of the crew seem to be exactly what I'd expect them to be with Miranda out in the open, and confronted with exactly what that means. |
