Anyway, your story. I liked it a lot. It shows...I don't know how to describe it...but a lot of times I don't like Steve and this made me dislike him a little less.
Also...irony...the tattoo Steve got, Tom Cruise has one just like it and he played Steve. Don't know if you thought about that, but I just remember Cruise showed it off a lot in pics from the movie :D

The only thing I noticed was in the beginning Rich had skull tattoos and at the end he had snake tattoos. *shrugs*

i really like this backstory that you gave steve, you really nailed his voice. since the tattoo isn't canon, people don't think much of it in the movie, but it's an interesting diversion.
