I give you an immense amount of points for seeking to provide historical accuracy into a meyerpire's past. This is something that SM irritatingly (and insultingly) does not do. See exhibit A: Carlisle Cullen. See exhibit B: Rosalie Hale. See exhibit C: Esme Cullen. See exhibit D: Jasper Hale.

As for the side characters like Benjamin, I could go on.
So kudos to you! Side characters fascinate me, especially when they're essentially blank slates.

Sorry to hear you've quit fanfiction. Especially after reading this really creative perspective on Benjamin. There just wasn't enough of him in the Twilight series!

Sure, Amon may have been a tad OOC (can't really see Mr. Miffed and Dignified from BD cosying up to the British) but Benjamin's description of him as 'creepy man/monster' was a hoot.

You should write more, about his waking up, what happened to the others in his gang (just cause I'd really like to know about that), meeting Tia, all of that. You're a good writer.

Unfortunately, I've never learned about this time period either. It's really too bad, it sounds interesting. (Way more interesting than learning about The French and Indian War like I am right now. :P) So I don't if you made any mistakes with the history.

But this was great. Much better than my attempt to write about Benjamin...(I took it off FFnet because it was really bad and didn't have any reviews. :P) Great job. :D
