This story is strange ... Yugi isn't innocent and I thought many things first then they were wrong .. I thought that kaiba died but it apeared that yami was dying not him .. This is so dark!

Incredibly well written. Chapter 8 nearly got me crying. :(

As to what I think. . . I like the interjection of the old memories coming to the present. . .but what did Seth promise? I remember Yami's, but don't believe Seth promised something unless we weren't privy to it. Which I can actually accept. . . have to leave us guessing somewhere along the line and at least this time it is more solid and substantial.

It's interesting that in this time period Yami is freezing as Atemu was burning. Each point tied in with Moswen/Yugi. As I think I said, I have my theory as to why the current soul is freezing as the previous soul burnt, and I'll be curious to see if our minds worked the same way.

The writing style here isn't your usual. . .but that doesn't mean I don't like it. Its more hard hitting and to the point, no messing around here. You didn't lose yourself in the words this time, and kept to the storyline. Which makes this chapter more intense in real terms.

My guess is that Kaiba has gone to see Isis, hopefully she is at the museum, as she is the only who might have a clue as to how the past is interacting with the present..

Yuugi is insane. His innocent and mild demeanor was an act. He is sly and cunning. Yami is finally completely aware of just what Yuugi really is, he is not a god or lover he is a monster all wrapped up in an innocnt package. He is a user and very selfish.

Sal I love you. This chapter was just perfect and really tied up all the questions and suppositions I've been throwing at you since you started this series :) (especially 3DG)

It was absolutely delightful to wander through the 'worms' deranged thoughts as he justifies his actions.

But now what. . . you have a 'bad' habit of cutting things short - hell look at what you did in TCR. So the pressure is on to continue to keep the depth and plot going.

The worm has fallen into the ice cold water, does he drown (ah an easy solution, because then Kaiba can't kill him and go to jail and perhaps Yami gets dispelled and learns the truth).

But even if that is the case, you just can't have Kaiba and Yami wake up like Sleeping Beauty and go "hello lover, I'm back" to each other. There still has to be recognition, 'growth' and acceptance of the past, to bring this to a satisfying close.. . .

So you have your next assignment Mr. Phelps. . . this review will 'not' destruct in five minutes.. ..XD

Good chapter. I feel bad for Yuugi but he seems to be slowly going insane himself. I hope they can all come to terms with what they are doing.

Good chapter. I wonder just what Seto will do once he finds him.

I really liked this Sal. It was tense and fast paced. . . but

when are some truths going to be revealed?

"Get rid of Kaiba-kun." Now that is a line that is food for thought. Because 'get rid of' certainly doesn't mean to send on a holiday. And it makes me wonder, what other 'get rid ofs' the little worm organized to suit him.

Like your analogy of Yami being 'drugged by Yugi's presence, I always thought of it more as thralled by him but both work. Either way, he is going through a withdrawal and the ultimate cure is when he walks away from Yugi completely.

So now that Jou is dead, is he dead because he feels guilty over Mokuba, ordid he find out the truth of the matter, that it wasn't Seto. It might not seem to matter, but this all happened because Jou was told a 'lie' in the first place. And why did the lie exist in the first place? Did Yami see this, or was Yami 'told this' by a little worm?

And once again, will this get Kaiba & Yami to recognize each other and get some other truths out there?

Sal, except for myself and dragonlady, no one realizes that this is the third in trilogy and that is really unfair of you, because they are missing alot of background which adds to what is going on here.

As to this chapter. . . OK, so we now know who killed Shizuka (g-d why does this sound like Twin Peaks and who killed Laura Palmer?) and we know why. So. . . going back in time to another story. . .3DG to be exact, Yami says:

“She saved Yuugi.”

Now that’s a story I haven’t heard. “What from?”

Yami gives me a strange look. “She saved his life, Jounouchi. She kept him from being killed.”

Something doesn’t ring quite right. “What?”

His eyes are burning into mine. “Shizuka saved Yuugi’s life at the cost of her own when Kaiba was trying to kill him.”

Yes, Sal, you wrote it. . . so think of a way around it . . .XD and I did question you about that at the time and of course. . . .no reply rofl.

I have one idea playing in my head, which is the only way to my mind.. . ::evil laugh::

So what happens next? Yami pushes the worm away (hopefully), memories return (not necessarily), Jou killed. . .how about he finds out the 'real truth' and Kaiba is not up on murder charges.

Good chapter. Yugi is worried about Seto and Yami seems to be pulling away from Yugi. Will he ask Bakura to help with his revenge? I love it.

The appearance of Ryou is a pleasant surprise. I'm anxious to see what Kaiba is going to do next.

I am starting to read each chapter with great precaution to prepare for an unexpected character death xD. The suspense is killing me.

I love the short length of the sentences. It makes the whole chapter so powerful :D

The description of the book shelves is the most intriguing part. I am confused though-what do you mean by "Gozaburo had never gotten beyond childhood"?

Forgive me for my slow little brain ;

I feel bad for Seto. He is after revenge and that is never a good thing. So Yami got his own body but Bakura didn't? Or else, Ryou really went mad. Poor Yami, too, nightmares are not good. I hope he gets some real rest. I know that Joey killed Mokuba but it had to have been an accident. I can't believe he would do that on purpose not to Mokuba. Good chapter.

Once more you've created a magical world of words and phrases. I can really get lost in the flow, the problem is I really don't trust you. . .and you know why XD

So Jou is on the run. . . interesting. . .I'm surprised really. I would have thought Kaiba would have chased him down ages ago.

As to Yami and Yugi. . .I can't tell where Yami is moving. Are memories returning? Does he have the strength to intrepret 'the truth' or will it always be blocked by Yugi's presence? And are you ever going to give a reason why Yugi is the way he is? More childlike than a child and yet in control (or so it appears to me)of Yami and manipulative as well. . .

And this new character, who I think has a Jekyll and Hyde personality, will he be the turning point in all of this? Is he too a reincarnation of sorts. Is history going to repeat itself to some extent?

As you can see, I'm back into questions when it comes to you. Too many things are not happening here, but there are implication of things that are possibilities. But not probabilities. . .

Mokuba's voice is the only one grounded in reality and makes one realize how sad Kaiba's life has been and the torture he went through under Gozabura. It would be nice at some stage if Kaiba actually 'heard' him.
