Was not expecting Sai. The way you described him I thought it could be Sasuke, but of course it's way too early for him to show up. Enjoyed their "date". The way Sai kept coming on to Naruto, it was cute and funny. Even funnier was Naruto's reaction. Oh Naruto, you do protest too much. Sasuke better come back soon, I think he has some competition.

I like the way you wrote Sai. He still does not entirely understand about bonds and is surpised when Naruto expresses concern for his well being. Sai confused me here. He seemed kind of distant yet didn't he want to spend time with Naruto?

My fav Sai line: [“You’ll come to terms with it at some point,” Sai said and gave his arm a stiff pat.] Very interesting. Was this Sai's purpose? To get Naruto to come to terms with himself? When Naruto finally looked at his portrait? What else could it have been? Even Sai is a SasuNaru fan! Would love to see fanart for this chapter!

I like your Ino, evil and conniving! [My fav Ino lines: “Well, if you’re not gonna keep it,” she said, bending forward and pointing a manicured finger in Naruto’s face. She smiled coyly, “Do you mind if I keep it?”] Hysterically funny. Of course she's going to tell Sakura! This next date looks very interesting. I can't wait to see what Ino has planned.

As for the portrait? Hee hee hee. No way is Naruto going to burn it. That would be rude, especially since Sai went through all that effort. When did Sai get to see Sasuke nude?

Looking forward to your next update! The story concept here is unique and very interesting. It is a nice vehicle for Naruto's growth and character development. I think Naruto really does need a reminder of all the people he has in his life. Of course I'm not suggesting he give up on Sasuke. He just needs some perspective.

This would actually work in either the manga or the anime. Would love to see this as a story arc in the anime. I think we could use some lightheartedness.

Okay, I took this part rather seriously and personally (and when not? xD). Yes, it is like that. You just wrote a bit about Jiraiya’s death, but it amazes me how you can describe *that* feeling so well (when you lose someone). I’m NOT underestimating you at all. I’m just pointing out what reminds me.. Why I can’t get bored/tired of you. Makes me wonder if you’ve lost someone, too. Or if you can see from other people’s eyes that well.

About the chapter, since that’s what reviews are about.. I loved it. Sai was.. nice. And perceptive. Naruto can be excessively oblivious about some things.. So it’s cool that he has a friend like Sai. And I’m cool with Ino. Sounds to me that they’ll have fun. :B

i love how Sai seems to bring them even closer in the manga, even if he doesn't really mean to or actually doesn't seems like he wants to, but he ends up getting that result at the end...
Even if I do wanna think of them as a couple, as in Smexy Sex with each other, the fact is I do think they are meant to be complimentary of each other and I don't mean in asexual way, but in a human to human kind of way... you know?
Well, I have always loved how you manage to portray Naruto and Sasuke so well, make me feel as if I actually know them and as if they could be real people, the neighbor next door, the person sitting next to me on the bus...
