I hope this story will have a happy ending for Penelo and Basch. Basch deserves to be happy. I really feel sorry for him at this moment.

This chapter confuses me... Maybe I lost a little bit track of the story, but why the hell is Balthier interfering here? xD

Because he is concerned? That makes him a little bit out of character, somehow.

He may like Penelo, but I really doubt that he would barge in her life just like that... Or did I forget an incident which occured somewhere in the story?

Heyyy still reading the story! Sorry I haven't written in a long time. I had a couple questions... when did Basch tell off Al-Cid's dad? And what is going on with the necklace/Larsa situation? I am really really lost on that one. I understand how Penelo is the reason Basch is doubting his oath, but I don't get the rest of it. Thanks!

Exciting! I giggled right out loud when Penelo immediately goes "Gabranth? Think rashly? Girl, what are you smoking?" Nice. I really like Vafara, she is a good OC, very brave young woman. I think she's a good match for Larsa, she won't let him get away with much as I'm sure he still has it in him to cause trouble. Gah, he's so adorable! How could she not fall in love with him when she finally gets to Archadia?

Good drama at the end! I suppose this means we are getting close to the end (tear*sniff), but at least now I'll finally find out what the deal is with that damn pendant! That's been driving me a little nuts for oh, let's say, ever since it appeared! Poor Penelo, but really, she should take it as a backhanded compliment that the only thing to sway Basch from his resolve is her. And poor Basch! He only does what is right and only says what is true and he gets the short end of the stick. Nice guys finish last, right? I'll bet he gets a happy ending anyways...

Just out of curiousness, what spell did Penelo cast at Balthier? He's adorable too, but he deserves whatever he gets. Scruffy nerfherder.

By the way, how are you adapting to the heat?

this story is by far one of the best i have read. i just finished reading all the chapters up until now an i found myself wanting more an more since chapter 1. Please keep up the good work an hope to see another chapter soon :)

Well, nice to read another chapter of DB at last. I love it when this story centers on Basch and Penelo, nad not only on politics. And I'm glad they were making up in this chapter. This chapter put my mind at ease, thank you for that! ;)

What is it with these two and laces? Haha, if she keeps flaunting those in front of Basch he may be tempted to tie her up with them to keep her all to himself! Not necessarily a bad thing, mind you. If I were Basch, I would lock Penelo away in my quarters...or something like that :D I have to agree with greenteagoddess for that matter. Is never leaving Basch's quarters such a big problem? :D xD (- never mind xD)
