A very good title for this story..Sacrifice.
Do the people of Gotham really understand and
appreciate the sacrifices that Batman and the
Commissioner do for them everyday? I doubt it.:(

Wow. I really like this. I can really see the friendship between Batman and Gordon clearly, and they are both wonderfully in-character. It really seems real--and them giving each other advice on their "love lives" was really touching. I love how Gordon can see through Batman's mask, to his love for Rachel, and how Batman is so sacrificial. And how at the same time this parallels Gordon, who I've always seen as a devoted family man: Batman reaffirming that ("kids need their father") was really wonderful. You should DEFINITELY write more Batman oneshots--you're really good at them, judging from this one. :)
