omg i regret reading this chapter! though i do love it a lot lol but the suspense is killing me i really gotta find out what happens next! looking forward to the next chapter with great anticipation, really love reading it and wow that was a lot to process though i kinda liked the little bit of dominance that naruto used to tell juugo to kill kido lol. Hope you are doing well in college and had fun at that exchange though i have no idea what it is :P

Wow. That was a...pretty intense chapter. O_O Not exactly unexpected, but it still shakes.

So Gaara was the one who killed Naruto's father? Wow. (Unless I'm overinterpreting and it actually was another green-eyed fellow like Kimimaro, but age gap taken into account, Gaara is more likely. Sending a perturbed boy to this kind of "mission" sounds pretty weird though...)

And Itachi is dead, but Sasuke's parents are not. And apparently they don't know that much about the situation... Wow. Guess they can't guess how well their boys do their job... Could Orochimaru use the fact that they don't know as a mean to blackmail Sasuke? It would make sense if he was the one who killed Itachi...

Could this be what the "three words" were? "I killed him"? Somehow it sounds more likely than "I love you", seeing Naruto's reaction. Wow. More information is still required...

That part with the motorbike was very welcome as comic relief. XD All of a sudden I love the both of Karin and Suigetsu. (Especially the latter for turning green. But the former speeding on the road like crazy is pretty cool too.) Hope they're both still alive as we speak. O_O

Now pretty much everyone is stained. WOW. Naruto, you will have trouble getting over this. One might argue that it was a matter of survival (I would... but maybe not if I were Naruto) or that Kidomaru is a cowardly bastard (not that Naruto would have a mean to know that for sure), but still. That's a pretty traumatizing thing to do, and the fear of Sakura's reaction is endearing and terrifying at the same time. Talk about sweet in a macabre way...

You really rock at picturing psychopaths, you know that? (Yes, that IS a compliment. A huge one.) Gaara's fear mixed to his bloodthirst, Juugo's childlike pride in murdering people, the mad logic keeping him scarcely in control... W.O.W. At least Naruto and Sasuke can definitely sympathize with each other when it comes to hanging with twisted friends.

I failed to mention that the hug was extremely sweet, didn't I? ^^ I LOVE hug scenes. A lot more than kiss scenes, actually; They're much more intimate and comforting if you ask me. Saying that Naruto is unused to physical contact sounded pretty weird, though... In your version I suppose it can pass, but he's still a very sociable person, and having Sakura AND Kiba as friends would definitely get you used to physical shows of affection.

Oh, about Sakura, her reaction to the call from Sasuke's phone was hilarious. XD I almost felt bad for her though... And after the gunshots I definitely do. Family dinner is ruined. ^^; Oh also, Naruto always worrying about trivial matters (such as repaying Sasuke's phone) in such situations is an amazing touch. It's so silly it has to be IC, and so out of the blue it has to be realistic. *bows*

you write very well. huge amount of plot work too, and well done. sometimes i don't like naruto fics where the writer gets too creative with the plots because it just seems contrived but you pull totally pull it off. can't wait for the next update.

No matter how bad Naruto's life, not knowing is the most dangerous thing for him! He trusts Sasuke more than him, and he only knows the guy for, what, 2 weeks? (and another 2 weeks of not talking to him)

Sarutobi confuses the hell out of me. Even more than freaking Sasuke. I think Orochimaru is misinforming Sasuke, making him believe Sarutobi is dangerous. Because... He can't be...! Right?

Gawd. Naruto went to Sasuke for comfort, and THIS is what he got? What the HELL was Sasuke thinking?? There is no, NO way I can justify what he had done... So, what's he gonna do about it?
