You have written this little fic so shrewdly, I can't really tell whether you were just exercising your writing skills, or trying to give Erica at least a smidge of power in that scene. Perhaps both - or neither, huh? Lord, every time I think of that scene (and others like it), I just want to throw things. It could have been so much BETTER.
