There is a book called "Winning" about a high school football player who is paralyzed (quadriplegic, not paraplegic), and the doctor in that claimed that even a quadriplegic could have an erection and be in a sexual relationship. Something about nerves being outside the spinal column. Of course, I was in middle school, and it was fictional, too, so I don't know the truth.

But this is, I think, the first fanfic I've read that dealt with impotence as an issue, so kudos to you for going there. Other than "The Sun Also Rises" I can't think of too many published stories where it comes up, either.

Well, you already know how much I possibly have a thing for blinded, mindfucked Lelouch and kind, guilt-ridden Suzaku coming along to help him heal :P -*goes back to editing Sans Pareil ch2*- XD

The angle you took at the end here was really interesting, I don't know that I've ever read anything about that before, in any context, and it's a really good thought. How emasculating that could be.

My favourite moment was definitely Suzaku's reaction to Lelouch first reaching out to touch him; the way you wrote it was beautiful (plus it's probably my very very favourite thing about blind!fic). "the caress of fingertips against his wrist...it was the oddest sensation, being touched like this – so innocently, so gently" and then having him remember that Lelouch's hostility has only let up because he doesn't know it's Suzaku; beautifully bittersweet.

The italics were a nice touch, too.
