I can relate to Willow's warm and fuzzy feelings! This story had pretty much the opposit effect as the Letters one. For about a third of the story I had a broad grin on my face.
You're really good at keeping people in character. I mean, everyone's diologue is perfectly in character, it's amazing.

I love this story. I just spent the last hour and half reading the whole thing and I'm in love! <3 <3 <3
The first four chapters made me sob, and i don't even cry and weepy chick flicks. Great job! I hope we see a sequeal?? huh huh? Think about it... please? I will beg if i need to.
All in all, i fell in love and the guest appearance of Willow, Tara and Giles is ah-mazing. I <3 them as a couple as much as I <3 Cordy and Doyle.
Awesome job!

Hope to read more from you soon,
Misha.

Nice bit of work, to say the least.
The idea of Puck actually made for a surprisingly promising character, and the concept of Doyle ‘bonding’ himself to that necklace was actually a rather intriguing one; after all, if a house can absorb the ‘essence’ of sexual tension by ACCIDENT, than a necklace can certainly be used to ‘tie’ Doyle’s soul to Earth on PURPOSE.
As for the subsequent ritual to bring him back…
The PREMISE of how it worked was good- certainly nobody could legitimately make the same objections they’d made to Buffy’s resurrection, given that Doyle was definitely still grounded to THIS plane of existence after his death-, but I think you could have maybe ‘dialled down’ the ‘Doyle Appreciation Society’ thing you had going on, with EVERYONE ‘praising’ Doyle
The man was pleasant enough company, I’m not denying that, but you could have at least included SOME reflections on his flaws to ‘balance’ things out (Like he maybe had the necklace originally commissioned while he was intoxicated and panicking about his upcoming death, even if he was actually sober when he DID the ritual); where’s the fun in a character being TOO perfect?
Still, at least it all worked out in the end; nice bit of work, really.

This was adorable. Oh my god, I had tears in my eyes during so many chapters but I'm so glad the ending was happy. I love your Cordelia and Doyle stories. They're all fantastic. More people need to vote GO CORDY AND DOYLE.

Awesome story. I absolutely loved it. And, I am not ashamed to admit, there were times I was slightly teary... I mean *sniff* great stuff.

OH MY GOD SO MUCH AWESOME. SEQUEL, PLEASE!

That was amazing. Not only did you bring Doyle back (which makes you notably smarter than the show's writers), but you've got all of the characters down. The dialogue, the descriptions-- it was like watching an episode. Perfect tone, perfect dialogue, pretty much perfect everything.
I particularly like how you described Willow and her barely suppressed squealing, as I myself am often in that state.

Do I perhaps see a sequel in the future? With the continued story of Angel Investigations? Perhaps with more Gunn and some Fred? Please? Don't make me beg.

I don't ordinarily review stories, even if I really, really, really love them because, honestly?, I'm just too lazy to do so most of the time, but I feel like you deserve an exception. When I watched episode 9 of Season 1 of Angel, I cried and cried and cried and cried and practically rushed through the rest of the DVDs, hoping Doyle would come back to life and Cordelia and him would live happily ever after. Sadly, I know now that, even if the writers had wanted to put him back in, it couldn't have happened. But I have to say, your stories are so marvelously written, your characters are so immaculately precise with the series, and your plots so outrageously creative and perfectly plausible in this world that it almost made up for Doyle's untimely death. I cried so freaking much at the beginning of this story and throughout most of the rest of it; it was so darned sad and sweet and sappily happy at the end! I just could not get over how realistically you portrayed the anguish that I always felt Cordelia should have shown in the TV series, and I loved how perfectly Doyle's devotion to her, even in death, you wrote in your story (well, stories really, I loved The Returned, the Look, and the Happy Ending, as well). I just wanted to thank you and encourage you to keep up the good work! :D

Yay! I was totally hoping for a Doyle and Wesley interaction scene!

Question: Is there, perhaps, an extended scene somewhere of Doyle 'making it up to Cordelia?' Please let me know! ^_^

I absolutely adored this fic to no end! You will definitely be hearing from me again! I will most certainly be checking out your two one-shots plus your other continuous fic in the near future.

As for now, you will have to settle with being added onto my list of Favorite Authors.

Thanks very much for sharing this wonderful story with us!

*whistles*

That's a lot of whiskey...

Hm... Doyle singing, how intriguing.

Hahaha, Willow and Tara are so cute. "'You're alive!'" "'We were so worried that something went wrong.'"

And of course Cordelia wouldn't be ruffled, because, one, it's partially thanks to them he's alive and well and, two, she shouldn't have to worry about them anyway.

Hahaha, Giles was hilarious too.

Poking lots of fun on Cordy and Angel! ^_^

I totally concur. Wesley and Doyle will be interesting...

*cheers for Angel* He sure knows how to clear up a place! Not that the others were only more than willing...

*Off...to...the...finale... drags self there*

Aw, Lorne is a doll. "Little sister." ^_^

*jaw hits pillow* Sneaky Lorne...

AH! Doyle's alive! He's alive!

*teary AND starry eyed at reunion scene*

Hahaha, Doyle IS a perv, but he's Cordy's little perv and that's all that matters.

Oi Angel! No breaking the Doyle when he just got back!

EEK! Angel's crying! I don't think I'll ever get used to that; well, with the exception of when he does it because of Buffy.

*snickers* I've said it before and I'll say it again, Lorne is HI-LAR-I-OUS!

Wait, tattoos?! Really?! O.O I want a peak... *hides from Cordy*

Hahaha, gotta love Cordy with her "I've seen enough - we can send you back now." And Doyle for his retaliation.

Wait, I take it back. Cordelia has the best retaliation methods in swatting him on the butt!

*Almost there! Don't know whether to be rejoicing or sad...*

*Hugs Doyle quickly and then dashes the hell away before a rampaging Cordelia can get to me*

As soon as I understood that he was getting his visions back just so Cordelia wouldn't suffer the pain of them, which was when he rightfully pointed them as being 'conniving, sneaky, manipulative, meddlesome,' I started chanting "Te quiero, te quiero, te quiero!" - "I love you, I love you, I love you."

So sad how they keep referring to him as 'it.' I guess the 'lowly' messengers are not good enough to refer to them by their name or even a "he/she." *shakes head*

Hahaha, "'Not exactly doing much good to anyone floating around here...'"

*MORE!*

(I'm BACK! I couldn't sleep so I decided to finish what just might end up being my favorite Doyle+Cordelia fic. ^__^)

Ah, I adore Lorne. Love the crack he pulled on St. Patrick's Day. Hahaha! He's so hilarious when dealing with Angel too. Aw~ "Uncle Lorne." Too adorable I tell you. Yes! Please help Doyle and Cordy out Uncle Lorne, please~.

NO, NO, NO! How could he not be there?!?!?!

(Has small moment of giggly-ness with "'tall, dead and heroic,'" before going back to denial!)

THOSE DAMN "HIGHER" BEINGS JUST HAD TO MESS WITH THEM again, DIDN'T THEY?! *sobs* ARE THEY NEVER GOING TO JUST LET THEM BE HAPPY?!

Okay, now that that's out of my system, I have a question. What's the name and artist of the song Cordelia was singing for Lorne?

*Goes a-hunting for more*

Eek! What's wrong with Doyle?!

I knew repetition was coming... Things never! go smoothly... *sighs*

Yay! Lorne is coming to play!

Sadly, I need to go to bed, because I have a way early class...

Hopefully I can get around to finishing this tomorrow!

*Looking forward to more*
