First off I love, love , love, loved your first chapter in the perspective of the Thing. It's everything how I imagined how he/they would think especially in regards of how he thought of humans. I especiialy loved the paragraph on fire. This first chapter is definitely a muse for other writers who want to know what makes the alien tick! Amazing prose! :D

What I loved the most about the second chapter was- and I thank you so much for this- creating REAL characters. So thank, you thank, thank thank you! :) I can't tell you how many stories I have turned away from because I wanted to stab the characters with rusty scissors. Not yours. I want to jump on a helicopter, grab a beer and kick back with them at their base because you portrayed them so realisticaly. Those are how guys act and you nailed it. Gold star! :D
