hester gray 2009-09-02 . chapter 1 I really like how you show that Caspian is bridging the gap between the groups of the members of the two worlds. I had totally forgotten about the Great Snow Dance somehow.
good, good=)

ps:// I liked the description of what each king or queen did to help in the past, it was interesting, and made me smile, because each description was right on!

King Caspian the Seafarer 2009-06-27 . chapter 1How fun! I simply love how you've so cleverly combined the splendid idea of the Great Snow Dance and the mixing of the New and Old Narnians into one terrific story! Marvelous! Your Caspian was very much in character (yes!) and I loved Drinian. That his family lived by the sea (and that his grandfather was the captain of the seven lords' ship) was too perfect! Wonderful job! *adds to favorites*
Lion be with you,

Autumnia 2009-03-30 . chapter 1Oh, I liked this! You managed to make this fit very well between 'Prince Caspian' and the 'Voyage of the Dawn Treader.' I love the descriptions of all the different creatures preparing, and then seeing how Drinian shows up and you set the stage for the King to embark on his journey to the East. |
viennacantabile 2009-03-27 . chapter 1this is absolutely wonderful. it works so well as an interim piece, and fits so seamlessly into c.s. lewis's narnia that it's hard to believe he didn't write it! everyone is perfectly in character, especially trumpkin. (although, where is reepicheep?) i especially loved the introduction of drinian. very, very well done.
i just can't say enough good things about this fic. it made me smile so much, it's an instant favorite. |
simbelmyrne 2009-02-20 . chapter 1 I liked the way you combined the Silver Chair snow dance and Caspian. Good story. |
Andi Horton 2009-02-20 . chapter 1Look at you, taking little snippets you enjoyed from Lewis's beautiful work and spinning them into yummy, delightful stories . . . why it's almost enough to accuse you of having read and enjoyed and respected the actual books! What in the world are you doing around HERE?!
Oh, sarcasm ill becomes us all, I am sorry about that. Cheap shots, all of them . . . forgive me.
I must have had a tougher time of it today than I knew, though, because in addition to wanting to tout this fic to the rooftops, by the time I got to the end of it I just wanted to cry, it was such a sweet, simple, enjoyable read. To see Caspian as humble and earnest we met him first, and as grew to love him later-- to see him working hard to be a king worth serving, to see him in awe of the monarchs who have gone before him and seeking to emulate their example while at the same time building a brand new kingdom on the foundations that were laid so long before his time . . . well maybe it's no wonder I wanted to cry. Everything that you have captured here embodies so very much of the IDEA that's in the books, -- the simple gaiety and camraderie, yes, but also the underlying, deeper sense of purpose and the desire to live up to one's own potential.
Caspian is a fine king, worthy of his kingdom, and you've caught him perfectly at the start of his journey. I may possibly wander off to puddle up a bit, now. |
 Ducky'sgirl4ever 2009-02-20 . chapter 1A great story. Very good. |

Silmarwen-Anwamane 2009-02-20 . chapter 1This was a lovely story. I loved the inclusion of Drinian with his family, a nice preview into VDT. I've seen a lot of stories of the Pevensies faced with the first snow but this is a nice glimpse of Caspian renewing old traditions, something I think he would have far more challenging than the four since so much more was lost. Nice work. |
