Beloved-Stranger 2009-09-09 . chapter 7Consider my socks offically rocked. That was awesome! |
PADavis 2009-04-12 . chapter 7I enjoyed this story start to finish. The description of Sam's possession and Satan's attempts to escape were chilling and deftly handled. Intriguing end, and Dean an angel - what a deal. Thanks so much for posting.

Lactuca 2009-03-02 . chapter 7This was totally amazing! If season 4 ended like this I would be incredibly happy. I still haven't given up on Sam being a vessel for Lucifer, but you really took that idea and ran with it. You created some truly chilling and disturbing visuals while Sam was "possessed" by Lucifer. It's hard sometimes to create real horror with words, compared to film at least, but you totally managed it here. And I love Sam being strong that anyone thought, and Dean having faith in him, and both of them saving the world.
My only complaint would be Sam losing all his memories of the entire series. I can't help feeling like it belittles Sam's journey and invalidates the whole experience of the show to have Sam be the same person he was in the Pilot after he's changed so much. Yes, the decades of insanity inducing torture and much of the rest of it might not have been change for the better, but... it left me feeling a bit like he died anyway. But please, believe me when I say this just a tiny problem in comparison with how fabulous everything else is. I am totally recommending this to people and sending psychic brainwaves to Kripke and co to let them know this is the way to go. |
Tari Roo 2009-03-02 . chapter 7Insert massive 'awe' here at end of fic. I liked it - and am rooting for this being the actual end of season 4, with season 5 being the boys back on the road with amnesia, no Powers Sam and remembers eveything Dean!
yay!
awesome fic

carocali 2009-03-01 . chapter 7What an interesting take on how this all shakes out! Dean refuses to lose faith in his brother. And as Sam battles Lucifer, he gives Dean all the clues needed to eventually figure out how to defeat the devil. There was some pretty tricky stuff in there, but Dean reasoned it out and mocked the devil - in typical Dean fashion - to get the job done.
Nice touch having Cas remove the memories, but then it still makes Dean have to suffer alone - which makes me very sad.
Maybe there'll be some semblance of normal for them since the big bad is away for quite some time. Will he rise again, even with the seals? Will a new up-and-comer figure out how to do this? And what of Sam's powers? Have they been destroyed? Hopefully he'll never need them again, but if another Lillith comes along...
Intriguing tale - I'm glad I stumbled upon it! Nice work!
:D

Somebody Once 2009-02-28 . chapter 7Thankyou for this it was an awesomely fascintating and satisfying read. I deeply thank you for writing this and want you to know it KICKED **. I was a little worried for Sam there, ok a lot. |
Nana56 2009-02-28 . chapter 7So Sam went to Hell? Dean's condition was that Sam not remember any of it, huh? That's so awesome of him. That's what big brothers do.
The seals will be put back in place and all will be well, the brothers are back together, and Dean's on the side of the angels. Doesn't get much better than that.
Great fic! |
Faye Dartmouth 2009-02-28 . chapter 7I admit, I wasn't sure about this fic for most of it, though it did intrigue me. You always sort of have a dark method of storytelling, very visceral. What I ultimately loved about this is that you did both boys justice. You didn't demonize one at the expense of the other. You made them both strong and both heroic in the end, though their parts to play were very different. Though it seems a bit reductive at first glance to not have Sam remember, it made the whole thing so real to life, so very Dean. You touch on both boys' suffering with it so subtly, and I like how Dean's time in hell is palpable but not flaunted.
In the end, creative premise, scary and dark, and I hope the show pulls something that clever out of its bag of tricks.
Nicely done :) |

SciFi Girl 2009-02-28 . chapter 6 Wow - this is a great story! I could see it going down on the real show just like this. But please - if Sammy dies, let Castiel bring him back ...
Thanks for doing such a great job and don't keep us waiting for the next chapter too long!

Nana56 2009-02-27 . chapter 6Evil cliffie! It's not a deathfic, so he'll not have to kill Sam, but the suspense is killing ME! lol
Really great job with this awesome chapter. Dean is a genius! |
