This was a fun read. I like Turing's involvement - very cool bit of name-dropping there. I'm liking seeing my buddies in this different environment.

War drama and plots to kidnap princesses - this is an amazing story, and each chapter is well thought out. You should think of re-doing this with some original characters for publication.

Yea! An update!

I loved the exchange of information. Charlie was right to suggest it. And I loved Larry, sitting right there and solving the keyword mystery. Go, Larry! Charlie's examination of the hand writing was just as impressive.

I'm getting excited about the royal family's involvement in this case, but, on the other hand, I always knew Don and Charlie (and Colby and even Larry) were knights in shining armour, riding in to save the princess!!

Please don't take so long for the next update. I love the well-planned, well-written, well-researched, intelligent storyline. It's awesome.

Superbly written, with believable English characterization. I'm really enjoying what looks to be a well-planned story.

I just read the first chapter and I have to say I'm impressed! It takes a lot for an AU story to keep me reading, and this one did. Fascinating and emotional angle you've come up with, involving the Eppes family in, by proxy, fighting the Halocaust. You've done a great job with the characters.

It's good to see our heros up and moving around again. I really like Colby in this story. I laughed at him making his bed in the hospital. And, it's nice to see Anna friendlier with Charlie. Is it her nurturing side? Wanting to take care of his boo boos? (if she doesn't, I will)

I've never seen Foyles War, but you are doing such a great job with this story, I feel like I know the characters already. Is Hilda Pierce a character on it?

Life sucks with lousy internet connection!

So, I borrowed my mother's computer to catch up on R&R's.

I loved this update with poor Don and Charlie at the hospital. And meeting with Colby in the closet was kind of funny. What a place for a secret discussion!

Still loving the history (the royal family's vow to stay in London) and the intrigue and suspense are great.

Finally catching up to this - great chapter, loved the banter between the brothers, touching, but not soapy; you kept it just light-hearted enough.

Sorry it has taken me so long to let you know how much I enjoyed this chapter. Life - trying to finish my new story- LOUSY internet connection - you name it.

Anyway, I truly enjoyed this chapter with both Charlie and Don experiencing the after effects of their beatings.

It was so like Don to say he'd been beaten up worse before and didn't need to go to the hospital. And it was so like Charlie to say if he didn't go, he would tell dad.

And Don called in Lt. Colby Granger!! I was also very impressed that Don thought about the murder and two assaults they could continue to investigate while Foyle's Home Office handled the threat to the royal family. Don knows they are connected. He's so clever; in 2009 LA and 1943 London!

Great installment. I'll be watching for the next one.

Wow. I love Charlie hurt and beaten and still trying to save his work! And then, to think of calling Larry to tell him to lock his door.

It was amazing, too, when Anna found the the answer to the code. Love the excitement and Whoa! the reference to Elizabeth Windsor really kicked up the intrigue. Glad Don is calling Foyle.

Oh, those guys made a big mistake. Now they'll incur the wrath of Don. The Veronica Lake reference gave me a nice visual of Sam - VL was gorgeous.

Small-minded, bigoted, dangerous, thick-headed jerks who gang up on defensless professors and unsuspecting captains. Wow. I didn't expect them to attack both Don and Charlie. When Charlie left by himself I thought maybe he was asking for trouble, but they attacked Don, too. That was a very bad choice.
