Read the whole story. Your stile is unique. It always stunned me how you use the words to create a special atmosthere. The choice of words, the display of emotions, the slowness of plot - everything makes your writing very captivating. Sorry it is difficult to describe, but every time I start to read your story - any of them - it is like a scroll, which unwinds and captivates whole my senses - it is impossible to go away and abondone reading.
In japaneeze culture there is a term, indicating "beautiful sorrow" - your story is of that kind. Beatiful but sad. Like ancient japaneeze fairy-tales.
But - I guess, you already know all that so my review is in wain...

WAH! Why is it so SAD?!! Poor Itachi and Naruto!! Btw I LOVED the lemon! Innocent Naruto was so cute!! Now be a good little girl and see to it that they get their happy ending!!

Glorious as always. You work is master piece just as the works created long along by your inspirations. I loved this chapter quite the best. The sheer Angst, the story it entailed drawn on your mind.

I would have reviewed earlier, when this chapter actually came out, but I wouldn't have been able to give it the proper respect it deserves. There are some stories (well, some authors - you in this case) that deserve time to be taken when they're read and, as I said, you're one of these authors. It's lovely, it really is, to just be able to absorb yourself in a complex, wonderfully written story and you never fail in this respect :)

A reincarnation story, referenced in the first chapter by Naruto saying that he had to have had done something really bad in his previous life/lives? I'm guessing that line was there for intention.

The opening section was a wonderful starting place, an introduction to see a slight insight into the setting and a dip in the characterisations. You don't skip any little details just for the sake of possible convenience and I love that; the smallest details are the ones that build up and transform into something magnificent.

All the way through the story you can just tell that there isn't going to be the happiest of endings, but still you carry on because it is a beautiful tragedy.

A little like Romeo and Juliet (more in the sense that you begin reading the play knowing that they won't come out of everything with a happy ending alive and well, rather than anything else) but, I personally think, sadder because Itachi was left behind. At least in Romeo and Juliet there's the thought that they could be together in death but here... Naruto's loves Itachi so much that he's willing to protect him even after he's dead and that is simply beautiful.

The closing section was lovely too, a lingering reminder of what short time they had together but how it meant so much to them.
