This story was really, really, really good. I even teared up at the end- so sad the way you wrapped it up, yet perfect. Little bit of heat, lots of pain- just what I was looking for. :)

I swear, when I was reading this story I kept hearing Jon McLaughlin's "So Close" in my head. So close yet so far away! Grr! I hope you do a oneshot of Clark's POV on Lois and Richard's wedding. It would definitely be bittersweet and I love how Jason tries to cheer him up. Can't wait for more!

Yay! You are back! I almost spilled the water I was drinking when I saw the story title. And at the end I wanted to hug Clark and tell him everything would be ok. I know he made the bed but I can't get over the fact you made the poor guy suffer for Lois and his son for so long *sigh* But I LOVE your stories and I'm very, very happy to read this one.

I first read this on livejournal and absolutely loved it!I just want to scream at Lois and Clark and not getting together now, but *sigh* at least it happens eventually, if not for a long time. Anyways, I'll be looking forward to more of these one-shots!
