I think what you've written is written well, and I'm always up for a good 003/009 story.

The problem I have with it is that a crossover is not just a matter of changing names and keeping the plot details. Francoise is French, Joe is Japanese, there's a lot in the Cyborg realm to play with - not least of all, the fact that they are cyborgs.

Maybe it's just a difference of opinion in how you have approached it, in comparison to how I would have approached it. By no means does it equate to you being a poor writer, nor am I saying that my own hypothetical version would have been far superior.

In sum, I think there's a lot you could have done with it whilst retaining the Twilight element... don't be afraid to really twist and change story elements around! The beauty of a crossover, or an AU story is that you can put YOUR spin on it... so do that. :)
