'..he knew that he was going to die – slowly and painfully. He started to cry.'

So sad, the characterisation so good, no, the sadness.

Anyway, yes this is sick and twisted..

Ooh. My favourite flavour: deliciously twisted.

I read very disturbing stories like this, then proceed to whine and complain about how freaky they are. Then my friends go, then why'd you read it? And I go, because I love them!

Seriously though, this was freaking amazing! The description of the poor boy's corpse . . . I felt like I was rereading one of Michael Slade's more gory novels. (Though they're all gory.)

Orochimaru was perfect. Absolutely perfect. And so was Sarutobi.

And the raw fear coming from that poor kid . . . oh god, my heart is still beating from his fear! So vivid! Really, you did a super excellent job!

I can't even begin to say how much I loved this. It was chilling, horrifying, and beautifully written nonetheless. You captured Orochimaru's character perfectly--you always do. Orochimaru has always been obsessed with knowledge and curiosity about what lies behind death, and I can really picture a story like this happening from his past.

The ending part about Sarutobi blindly praising Orochimaru as his favorite student captures how ignorant he was, in pretending he never saw the cruelty in Orochimaru. I also liked how Sarutobi went on about Konoha representing justice and equality, when recent events in the manga have proven otherwise.

I'm so happy you did a young!Orochimaru fic! I'm adding this to my favorites ^^

My god, the irony...

Something that happens for me with all your writing, I've noticed, is that, for the first paragraph or so I can't get into it. And then I do, and I can't stop reading. I'm not sure why...

Brilliantly dark and creepy~ I think you really captured Orochimaru's psychopathic tendencies, even at such a young age.

There were a lot of little phrases in this oneshot that caught my attention, I noticed...

"The boy had yellow eyes – glittering yellow eyes like the ancient, creeping beasts of legend that lured men with promises of fame and riches and then devoured them piece by piece in the dark, secret places of the world."

This one gave me chills, more than anything Orochimaru himself said, more than the description of what Orochimaru did to Hisano. Perhaps it was because of the later talk of eyes. They're supposed to say a lot about a person, and to see such darkness in one so young--that's more disturbing to me, as though Hisano was looking into a future serial killer's eyes. Except, it would be the near future, not the far future...

I'm not making any sense now, having far too many midterms in a short period of time, but suffice it to say this was dark and lovely as always.
