CalypsoHatesEveryone 2009-12-21 . chapter 8So hilarious, not one person was OOC, it was completely beleivable from all aspects.
Well as beleivable as a story about Shinigami can be anyway.
I'm still trying to get over the fact that a Death God is a good thing. It doesn't sound particularly nice.
Anyhoo, can't wait for you to update.

DayDreamer-BleachLover 2009-12-16 . chapter 8Hey there, I read this story just the other day and I love it...it had me laughing heeps that's for sure...I hope you continue it and update soon... |
xXXx Wilder xXXx 2009-11-25 . chapter 8Ahh... Sorry I haven't reviewed in a while... I was hoping I'd get to review every chapter sooner than I've been able to presently. I ran into a bit of trouble around Halloween... You deserve to know, so I'll PM the details.
Anyway, I was absolutely mesmerized by the chapters, as in I literally didn't hear the call for dinner and read right through the meal... Don't worry, I'm gonna go eat after I'm finished writing this! Anyway, you've done SO well in portraying Jyuushi's illness... I think I almost cried once or twice - I can't remember because I'm so hungry. And I can't believe Shunsui taped Nakae-dono's cheeks together. Actually... I can.
Shunsui's just lucky I'm not Jyuushi, because if I ever found out that he was the cause of my misery (even two thousand years later) I'd murder him, and I'd make it worth it. They would NEVER the body parts.
Nah... I couldn't do that. He's damn lucky he's cute.
But still, I'll try to review as quickly as possible. I feel like I'm neglecting one of my best friends if I don't. Can't wait for the update!
Love ya! |
Solo Loco Ellingson-Rose 2009-11-22 . chapter 8Love it. Prior to reading this, I had always imagined Shunsui to be not quite what he appeared, but not to THIS extent. I must say that I rather enjoy this side of Shunsui. :D Are you planning on continuing this? |
Illegitimi 2009-11-17 . chapter 8I love your insight into the workings of the Academy- no one really writes about that, and what a fascinating time that must have been for them. No one certainly sheds any light onto Sasakibe. He seems to always fall to the wayside, and people seem to forget that he has to be all that and a bag of chips to be Yamamoto's second in command. Is there even any fiction for him?!
How interesting how the years have honed and changed the two men. Ukitake has seemed to become more authoritative while Kyoraku more meditative. Or so it seems to me...
A wonderful job as usual! I can't offer enough praises to you in regards to your writing. It is always, always a joy to read. I can't wait for your next update! |
 Philyra 2009-11-09 . chapter 8ZOMG it's up! Let the play-by-play review commence!
-OMGSQUEE I love gruff and worried Shunsui. I just want to hug him!
-Shunsui really does throw all of himself into everything he does, everything he feels. I'm so glad you caught that!
-Poor Uki. He's so resigned to his fate!
-Aw! *tear* I love how Shun and Unohana helped Uki get through graduation. If that's not friendship, I don't know what is! No wonder they've stayed so long in the ranks of the Gotei 13
-Whoa, there are captains already? I thought they were among the first...
-Hahahaha, it's Sasakibe!
-Aw Shun! Feigning drunkenness to get Uki out of there...he really is such a great friend.
ZOMG hun, this turned out WONDERFULLY. You've fleshed it out so well, and the whole graduation bit is gold. I'm sorry it took me so long to review, but today was my first thesis deadline. @_@ I'll catch ya soon! |
F1yMordecai 2009-11-09 . chapter 8aww...poor Jyuushirou...hospitals are no fun, especially for him, with like only 20% lung capacity. Shunsui's attitude is so IC for this...he's angry but worried and all that's in between.
Retsu's so sweet and kind, as usual...now I can't tell if I just want them to all be a trio or some Jyuu/Retsu pairing is hinted at going on ;)
Excellent emotion from Jyuushirou throughout the graduation ceremony - how his health was fading but his two friends lent him strength to pull through the ordeal. Also really great diversion there that Shunsui pulled to get him away from the crowds and safely to his carriage - even I thought he was just acting like an ass! lol... overall this has been a very entertaining read, and I will be looking forward to more. :D |
F1yMordecai 2009-11-09 . chapter 7I am actually relieved to see that you are breaking up the long chapters with scenes from the present time. It makes for a more settling feeling of a break from the past. :)
And lol, yeah if I've been drinking... I'd have to... *ahem* relieve myself even more often than Shunsui would ;) |
F1yMordecai 2009-11-09 . chapter 6There is no doubt in my mind that Shunsui really was a great actor who just acted like a ham to make everything think he was a terrible liar, heh. That pain in your stomach, young Shunsui, that's called guilt. As much as he'd hate to admit it at this point, he actually does consider Ukitake a friend ;) especially since Jyuushirou puts up with all of his crap.
"Oh high holy shitballs." - LOL - gotta love the inner dialogue you're giving him, to funny. Of course someone's older brother is going to be pissed about Shunsui dipping his wick ;) - perfect setup for a gang fight.
T_T poor Ukitake! Horrifying imagery of him coughing up blood...good for the words, bad for him. |
KibaCanLickMe 2009-11-09 . chapter 8So I guess Ukitake now knows why Kyouraku was being a good friend...lol. I was wondering who the top student was going to be, considering Ukitake, Kyouraku, and Unohana are pretty much the oldest captains, so nice surprise with throwing Sasakibe in there. I hope you continue this until they at least graduate the academy, I'd actually like to see if Ukitake manages to win it all and beat his best friend. |
F1yMordecai 2009-11-09 . chapter 5Wow, Shunsui is so much more trouble than I thought in the last chapter, lol. First by spending his final night out corralling with women and booze (no surprise there, haha!) but then to find out that he was threatened to be disowned completely if he didn't go to the Academy. No doubt he would want to try to get kicked out by Yamamoto.
Hehe, Unohana is all in the boys' minds, isn't she? High-five for rendering Shunsui unconscious to get him to Yama's office. Funny how he's feeling jealous already that she's found interest in our favorite TB kiddo.
He's such a devil as a teenager! Gotta love him :) and I'll keep reading! I'll be caught up in no time. |
 F1yMordecai 2009-11-09 . chapter 4LOL - oh boys, you're so silly...not to mention Nanao intervening. ;) |
F1yMordecai 2009-11-09 . chapter 3aww, young Jyuushirou! I forget that he belongs to one of the noble families. I do like how you worked in his illness back to a childhood disease. Sad but beautiful how he spent his days cooped up inside...and now he is finally free!
Gotta say, he's got come balls for standing up to Yama-jin but it was worth it! Already getting the sense that he's pulling away from his family, who treated him like a doll, so that he can finally live his own life.
LMAO at Kyouraku's entrance! He's even more so rambunctious and such a smart ass, which makes for a completely entertaining read. He just HAD to get in that last comment about the pat-down, didn't he? Oh and not to mention Unohana's appearance and demeanor as she spoke - truly IC and chilling. Andy Unohana/Ukitake in the future? eh, Eh?! hahaha...
Anyway, good read as usual. I need to get caught up with the rest of this! I had almost forgotten how you can pull a hilarious scene together :) |
mauralucky7 2009-11-07 . chapter 8You had to tease me. Ugh! XD
Very well done. You have once again shown the amazing acting skills of Shunsui and his budding friendship with Ukitake. Of course back then Ukitake didn't know it wa because of his guilt, but oh well. They're fine now. right. |
Masumi'sSword 2009-11-07 . chapter 8Another wonderful chapter - I loved the "audition" - a perfect descriptor of the ceremony. Nicely done, as always!
