Lovely writing, short and to the point. I'm quite relieved your story didn't end happily, because that's just not possible when a child gets turned into a vampire, whatever the reasons may be.

Nice subtle handling! I love it when you are shown rather than told what a character is feeling through description of body language etc. Excellent writing as always! That's why you remain top of my favorite authors list.

Oh, my goodness! This is so sad... but so well written. I didn't feel right about the decision he made to turn the boy either. Even if it had worked well, they kid is going to be stuck a kid for eternity. Not good. I like how you treated this.
