zandermon 2009-11-30 . chapter 30Hey again, this is getting more complex as it goes on what with ryders sanity seemingly going down the drain, natsuki and jeri talking with their minds, and mari worrieing about their connection.
A few things made me laugh in this one, sbove all gomamon using terriermons phrase [sort of] and duextrailmon saying things... well, thing from fantastic four.
one thing i started thinking is that if joe and fumiko dont have to bag a age gap they may be a good couple.
Ha, i love it when henry gets terriermon with his own phrase.
Those mokumon are quite interesting, is their shapeshifting ability your design or something from their charector profile? they seem to have a wide range of abilities for baby level.
apethy express? he must be really depressed... poor guy.
I have a question to ask, what exactly are the "duties" of a beta reader? what do you have to do other than correcting spelling and grammar? i ask because i`m thinking of doing some beta, ing for someone.
And finaly yes! i celebrate new chapter day with a wine and chease party! everyones invited!

Pjac the fighter 2009-11-28 . chapter 30Haven't reviewed in a while but as usual BC, it's as good as before. Nat seems to have more to her than meets the eye but in fairness to you that's just how you write! And I'm betting that it isn't even to do with Ivy (I'm expecting some Doctor Who-esque curveball from nowhere a la the Master) And can we expect help from SCDO or someone like that? God you answer one question and create about a million... Still here's hoping for an answer to at least one next chap!
Cheers

bsh41194 2009-11-28 . chapter 30Great, a new chapter. I got a little lost through the chapter, there being so many people. If you don't mind, I have a suggestion: while the groups are scattered about the digital world, before chapters it would help to explain where each group is. Update again soon! :) |
natcat5 2009-11-23 . chapter 29HI! Haha, it's been awhile...I kinda dropped off the face of the Earth...well, life's like that I guess...never know when you're going to get slammed with a whole bunch of crazy crap...
Happy Birthday! (haha...so late...)
Anyways, to the task at hand! I really liked the exploration into the inner workings of Matt in this chapter. I find that in fanfics Matt is labelled quickly as, well, Matt, and never really explored very deeply. No one really looks under the edges of his character and tries to see what can be done with him. And there is TONS that can be done with him. So, yeah, I liked getting a closer look into his mind, and we got to see Mimi make a tangible controbution! Yays! She is to often stereotyped as useless and shoved into the back corner with Cody, Joe, and Yolei (other stereotyped useless characters). Nice to see her stepping up the plate! And do I see hints of Mimi/Matt? Is anything going to come of that or was it just friendly friendship bantering?
And the visit to Bolton...interesting things are afoot, it would seem...
As for the sneakpeak at the end, I looked at it for a couple of minutes, trying to process the information, before giving up and deciding to just see what happened. It was to hard to try and come up with a feasible explanation for what the heck was going on. I can't bring myself to believe that...THAT'S IT. All is forgiven. The Tamers may come back. I keep thinking I read the letter wrong. Something is way off about this whole thing and it's giving me a headache trying to figure out what is what.
So, yeah, sorry for not reviewing in like, ever, happy belated birthday, and I can't wait for next chappie! |
OnixMoon 2009-11-15 . chapter 29It's nice to have you back.
Great chapter |
Digi9346 2009-11-13 . chapter 28Okay, I will admit that this feels more like a filler chapter than anything. Though all the emotions and everything are in place nicely, the only thing that really stood out in this chapter is Miki's reaction to the Digital World. And also the description about their surroundings. I hope you will be able to do more description in future.
Though given how you have written this chapter, I would be expecting some action in the next one. Looking forward to it! :)
There is nothing else much to say except that perhaps you might want to change your description of what I believe to be Raidramon to 'thunder dragon' rather than 'thunder horse'.
Until next time then. |
roguespirit 2009-11-01 . chapter 28I finally get some time to read this and I'm glad I did.
Still not a whole lot of plot devolpment but there's still plenty of information being given.
As for which fic you should focus on I suggest doing whichever one you feel like doing at that time. This is what I do as It helps me focus more and although it can cause a greater gap between updates I can update several chapters of different fics within a short time afterwards. |
Pyro The Harbinger Of Chaos 2009-10-30 . chapter 28Short. |
Chaos Blademaster 2009-10-26 . chapter 28Even though this one is shorter, I think that getting initial reactions for some of the Digital World's first-timers is pretty important. Plus this is a new experience for everyone else since this is the first time since the Cataclysm (excepting Rika, Takato, Rei, DarkRenamon, Renamon, Guilmon, and Realmon. I think that is everyone), so their reactions to the changes are important as well.
I had forgotten that some of the former Digidestined hadn't been to the Tamers' Digital World. Hmm...perhaps I need to skim over some of the earlier Books, help refresh some of this stuff.
Anyway, having an update is always good. Even short ones. The only part I thought of as lacking was the shortness of the post-explanation about Rei, Ryder, and the Gods.
Haha, that last statement made me think of something I find to be really funny. Rei and her brother (what was his name again?) are the Children of the Gods (the name of the two-part pilot for the show Stargate SG-1).
Thanks for writing,
C.B.

zandermon 2009-10-13 . chapter 27Hey, sorry for not reviewing straight away but i too have been busy, both with my own story [`s, yes theres a more than one] and with school [GCSE`s and stuff]
anyway, this is [to use one of my favorite words] Fantastic! to have so manny people in the digital world like this is something that has never been done before!
for some reason i loved seeing cody`s grandfather [was he even given a name?] in the digital world. all these questions make each chapter really exiting no matter how short or long it is!
there is enough mystery here for an entire season of the X-files. i love explainer scenes [EG: When mulder explains everything to his sceptical sidekick scully: or the doctor detailing exactly how he tricked his new enemy into defeting itself]
so i am eagerly looking forward to the next one, Please do a good explainer scene! there so cool!!
trying to get my head around the up/down perspective of the digital plane makes my head spin. this guy is falling up the other falling down, there holing hands so niether go anywhere.
meenwhile the guyas falling up end up on the ground while the ones falling the right way do to! it`s like something from a cocain induced nightmare!!
I love this stuff! |
 Digi9346 2009-09-29 . chapter 27The 29th of September 2009. 29/09/2009.
Auspicious date to review, no? :)
For one thing, the length of this chapter probably makes up for any kind of writer's block you have. For another...
Darn this chapter is long.
Anyhow, this chapter, like you said, does feel a little awkward here and there, but nothing too outstanding anyway, so it's not bad. I was rather surprised by Mari's reaction upon regaining conscious (was she even unconscious in the first place?). I had actually thought it was Natsuki at first. Imagine that... -.-
And you know, I had completely forgotten as well that practically no one outside the small circle knows of Ryder's inability to die. Given the sheer number of his 'accidents', that is surely understandable no?
All in all, a nice start to what is sure to be a rather long and tiresome arc (more you than me I believe). Though I must say, why haven't they been attacked yet? Come on, I'm aching for some panic/chaos/mayhem...
Uh oh. Did Chaos hop into my head there for a minute...? |
roguespirit 2009-09-28 . chapter 27These are the kind of chapters that are difficult for me to write. I call them filler chapters because they don't contain anything critically plot wise, but they are necissary to give a sense of time and dive into what the characters are feeling and thinking in that moment.
As always you pulled it off brilliantly and I had so much speculation going on the whole way through. And don't worry about it being a bit odd in places. The whole story is odd. That's why we like it XD.
Hope your workload lightnes up.

Fergus Flamacron 2009-09-26 . chapter 27Phew, I was glad to see you have updated. I got rather worried you'd stopped altogether when I saw the new story on your profile.
Nice chapter. I particularly like the part with Rika's hair. I don't know how you do it. The idea of having to write a story with so many characters is just daunting but somehow you manage to pull it off.
Keep going, you got me on tenterhooks. |
Chaos Blademaster 2009-09-25 . chapter 27Frankly, I am amazed that you made this turn out as good as it did. The number of characters you have to simultaneously keep track of is mind boggling, and the fact that many share certain characteristics and they are all together officially counts as leaping off the cliff of insanity. As much as it pains me to say it, I think you might want to start weeding out some of the characters somehow. It will be elaborate enough just considering all ten Angels, Rika/Harmony & Takato/Chaos, their partners, and the rest of the Tamers. To put a total to it (approx.), the current situation has 12 ex-Digidestined, 7 canon Tamers, Rei, Rey, Seiko, Kristy, Mari, Ryder, 26 partner Digimon (unless I am forgetting someone), all 6 Monster Makers, the 4 Hypnos personnel, Natsuki, Nami, Fumiko, and all the family members or friends with them not under other categories. That makes 65, not counting the family members/friends. And then there are those in the Real World, but I am not going there right now.
The monstrous ball of insanity aside, you certainly managed quite well with the content. Especially with Mari's POV. Her concern about what Ryder had talked about in the Rayleigh confrontation is understandably eating at her. Or perhaps in her case, understanding is something that escapes her grasp. I get the feeling that Ryder has decided not to tell her about what he thinks is really going on until it is too late. Just like at the aforementioned interaction the (unknowingly) Third Demon. Who knows, maybe her slap managed to firmly bring his thoughts back to THIS world.
And we finally got some more good Chaos/Harmony bickering! We haven't gotten very much of that this Book yet. I wonder if Rika will have since enough to ask her daughter about the assassination. Knowing how you like to through curve balls, each amazingly more surprising than the last, you probably will make some giant distraction if Rika ever thinks to do it, whether figuratively or literally is in the air.
Not much to say about Davis's part. It did however provide a bit of comic relief. Where's Terriermon when you need him? The lack of inhibition between to two's mouths would make a terrifying force.
The Sora and Tai sections served well as a wrap-up. It seems that every time Tai looses confidence, somehow Sora is involved in getting it back. And then there is always Agumon's straight up brashness that he and Tai share, even if Tai's has matured a little. But I wonder how everyone will react to however much Ryder is willing to divulge?
By the way, for the quote this time, I have been saving it for when Mari popped up again. She fits it perfectly.
Thanks for writing,
C.B.
