Reviews for: Tobogganing

Okay maybe I won't be lazy and not bother to review this after all. Pt 1: I liked that you didn't just fall for the "only Rodney out of all people could actually see him" cliche. I just loved how you came up with an explanation for why Rodney can see him, for why he's a ghost, etc and it was one that really fit in with the SGA canon. I love how Rodney tries so hard to help John even though he isn't even alive and when a lot of people would probably assume he couldn't even keep a goldfish alive. I loved the interaction between the two of them and I especially loved Carson's reaction to the fact that Rodney WASNT just imagining things - that was totally priceless :D. I felt so bad for poor little John who wasn't allowed to have a toboggan for so long and then when his mother went behind his father's back to finally allow it (and he was so very very happy) its what kills him. I can't imagine how badly some of those arguments between the two must have gone after THAT. This story is totally made of awesome and I really really really really loved it. Now my reviewerish duty is officially over and done with so thanks again for writing :D It's definitely appreciated.

That is SO SWEET! I'm so glad you made him into a real boy... -_^ And I'm glad there's a sequel! Which I am off to read now, yay!

I realized that, though I read this fic some time ago and liked it a lot, I never got around to reviewing it.

I loved the premise- especially in light of the sequel's epliogue- and the interaction between John and Rodney. you really have pulled off the fact that John really is just a scared ten-year-old boy without depriving him of an individual characterization.

Rodney's ways of showing affection in this fic were perfectly spot on for his character- cute and sweet and so very HIM without descending into the overly dramatic.

The two fics are lovely, and I can't help but wonder if there is going to be trilogy in the works...

Even if there isn't, you've done an excellent job here.

Oh...asjhuh;h;ijoiweiuoi908e *breaks down sobbing*

This story and its sequel are heartbreakingly beautiful, and warming, and just plain melty goodness. You write John and Rodney and Carson very well.

Can't write more, but you just bent my brain in a very good way. Awesome, awesome, awesome.

Wow! I really loved this story. Your Rodney was just so 'right'. I could see him coming to love John and not being able to admit it, even to himself. Now, I'm going to go and read the sequel. I was waiting until I read this. Glad I did.

God, this made me cry for about half an hour. And I'm not someone who usually cries much. John broke my heart, but I loved the ending.

Okay...so I read your two related stories completely out of sequence...I'm being a bit backward today is all...
That said, I can't say enough nor find the words to express how much enjoyment I've gotten from reading them.

I think both of your stories are incredibly well-written and well thought out. Such a great idea!

You have a wonderful talent for writing--especially for Rodney! Hope to see more from you soon!
