Very believable and slightly surreal, with the creepy references to fires which belong to other decades somehow coming out if the radio as a metaphor for destruction.

One tiny Britpick - British children don't call their fathers "sir", and haven't done since about 1950 or earlier. So Severus would say "Yes Dad", not "Yessir". "Sir" is for teachers, judges and army officers, or for customers if you are selling something.
