Hm. Not knowing what his other nightmares have included, this one actually would indicate that Cloud needs to let go and trust the future, take the plunge with Tifa. Is that what you intended? Good chapter, and I enjoyed the strong emotions/reactions you wrote as well as the more subtle indications of their strengthening relationship.

Sometimes, the thing we most fear catches our intense emotion and springs out at us from behind benign things during our every day life. So Cloud fears his dream of Tifa disappearing over the cliffs, saying the powerful buzz words 'trust me', and he looses her. It's so absolutely mind blowing to him, that he starts to think it might be real...it's happened to me. It is terrifying. The thing you fear most can come true because secretly you must want it to, otherwise why would you dream it? A horrible circle of emotion. In Cloud's world, you have to deal with this s-t alone, but in ours, there is help available, if a person believes in it...Cloud believes in Tifa, and we trust she will work her magic...they both deserve a break, for goodness sake. thx, gingerbreadbear... mc

I totally knew that was DF! I loved that CloTi sequence, even if it wasn't much... Then Cloud had to go and save Yuna while Tifa's getting beaten to a pulp by inherently disposable ninjas...

*Ahem* That was a really sweet piece... I adore brief oneshots like this (Likely because I lack the ability to make them myself), and I couldn't help but smile at this. It's just so... Cloud... to keep things to himself. Especially something so tormenting. Naturally he'd want to keep it to himself. And Tifa bevaved very in-character, too. Her maternal, wake-up-at-any-hour alarms are going off and she just wants Cloud to trust her. Very nice job!

I can't wait to see what you come up with! I can come with another three items if you like...
