This story is awesome! You have a great balance of present and flashbacks. I'm more partial to young Pakku and Kanna, but you've made the present part very entertaining.

Yes! Old people romance! Canon old people romance! It's the most common there is, yet all people support are random pairing of different teenage character that have no romantic feelings for each other what so ever! This is a pleasent surpprise indeed! Smart throwing in Yugoda; I had completely forgotten about her! And most other season one-only characters.:p I'd like to see how this turns, it sounds promising!

I know what you mean about starting chapters. They can be a real pain unless the story starts out as a drabble that starts grow into a bigger fic. You come up with a great sene or plot only to wonder how the characters got in saied situation in the first place. It's a real shame if you write a fantastic fic only to have most your readers turn away because of a tedious or rushed openning chapter.

Great work as usual! Pakku really is such a huge sap for Kanna, I think. He went through the trouble of making her another necklace, after all.

I really like the flashback, actually. Gives us a peek into why Kanna would run away in the first place. And I love the Kanna/Yugoda friendship you've got going on, because there isn't much of it anywhere.

Aww the world of Avatar where they are now seemed nice and sexist huh? Hey woman, you can cook, clean and have babies. Do cool magic swirly elemental stuff? No, you leave that to the big gruff men! lol, sounds like Kana was okay with life but something later on convinced her it was not as pleasant as she hoped it to be. Maybe when she got older and the whole marriage thing became much more real to her? So then she left? Sounded like she had a nice relationship with Pakku though. Was he the one she was supposed to marry? Why didn't she? Damn I need to watch this show! Anyway, seems like she's warming up to him in this chap and now the walk has got her thinking. Pakku has his flattery there with the "Your granddaughter is like you" line so I think he's inadvertently saying, "Yo woman, let's drink some (hey what do they drink in Avatar) tea together sometime!" lol I hope she goes for another walk eventually and they can get past the whole, "How's the weather?" thing. Nice building up and I liked the flashback. Gives a newb like me more insight on what's going on and letting me get to know the characters. :D Kudos.

Yo! Decided to stop by and give my opinion even though I know nothing about Avatar (for shame!). Anyway, even though I don't know the characters or the series, you painted a nice picture with the way you bring the reader in, the reference to the war and the North and South Pole. It was easier for me to piece the visuals in my head. Arranged marriage and lost love doesn't sound pleasant. I hope that these two characters can get past their differences. Wootz, nice start and now time to review the next chap!

Goodness. It's a Pakkanna fic! And it's multi-chaptered! It's like Christmas came early this year!

I have to say that you've done a really good job of fleshing out Kana's (Kanna's?) character here. We're given so little to work with of her character in canon, but you've given her a believable and realistic voice.

And you brought back Yugoda! I can't say I've seen that done, before! I love their interaction already.

I'm excited to see where you're going to go with this. It really is interesting that those two got back together and ended up married after 60 years of separation. Old people love is indeed amazing C:
