I think--that while their prank was simple and effective, I personally wouldn't have done it and I don't think many good-hearted people would either. Yeah, it hit the jerks bad, but it also hit Lavender, Dean and Seamus. Even if they weren't named in the Howlers. It also hurt whatsisname. Michael? Yeah. Him.

Other than that, good writing.

Also, interesting side-note about the book. Good idea, as well as it being a pure-blood only thing. Though there are ways to make that much more cost-effective (order five for Hogwarts, have five boys at a time read it in Flitwick's classroom, widely separated, repeat with one of the female staff members), and it probably only needs to be updated (and new books ordered) ever few years to decade. Other than possible new charms/potions, the only thing that really changes is social mores, which is almost totally stagnant for this society.

That minor rant aside, great little one-shot. Thanks for sharing.
