It's almost over? Aww... Oh, well. It's been great, and now it just needs a excellent finisher that will have Shao Kahn announcing "NuclearCookout wins! Ultimate Fatality!" Couldn't NICOLE have blocked the signal from the PDA, though, so thatFiona wouldn't have escaped?
On the other hand, this gamma ray weapon concept sounds interesting. However, I happen to know about a weapon called the neutron bomb, which detonates and fires neutrons and gamma rays (but not charged particles) in all directions; such a weapon inflicts much more damage to biological matter than to material infrastructure (though the damaging effects of extreme blast and heat still apply). Therefore, gamma rays could just fly through the Xeniths without damaging any of their (invariably non-biological) components. However, gamma rays may be effective against circuitry, microchips, and other delicate mechanisms, so I may be wrong here.

Okay, so Fiona helped prolong Rosemary's life for at least a while. She's still a conniving tramp in this story, perhaps even more so than her canon representation in the comics (of which I have only secondhand knowledge). I forgot to mention this in last chapter's review, but will Fiona end up pregnant? If so, then I see a small variety of possible futures for her and the baby - and none of them look particularly desirable. Keep up the good work, and see you next chapter.

Fiona just doesn't learn... is it just me, or does this chapter seem shorter than usual? Maybe it's because the events are all in a direct sequence without different points of view or time lapses between, though I'm not complaining or anything. Keep up the good work, and see you next chapter.

Okay, Fiona's stil trying to gain trust, and I for one won't give it to her. Tails knows what he's doing.
Of course the Xenith autoweapons had to be upgraded to resist the sound-based weapons... good thing an EMP blast still worked.
About the sonic cannons: have you researched conic sections, such as parabolas? Satellite dishes and other sound-related equipment are often shaped like parabolas to focus incoming signals onto an antenna. Perhaps the sonic cannons employed a similar concept in their construction?
