I have often wondered what Danny said to make the 'I'm going with HBO cuz they ain't no stinkin' free network' dude (who was kinda cute, I admit) go with NBS. Death threat aside, the kid must have owed him big for something along the line, I assumed, which would make them even. But I like your version better, the idea that Danny promising good things and becoming indebted.
