Very promising start! Nice, tight action, and especially good first chapter. The second chapter isn't quite as engaging as the first, but the action and Cloud's meeting with Zack and Sephiroth are great. Especially liked the photo op moment in chapter two.

Chapter one is full of great images, and you set up Cloud's relationship (or lack thereof) with his mother and the villagers expertly. Really liked Cloud's interaction with Vincent, and his exploration at the Mansion.

Interesting :) I like the idea - I've never read anything like it before! Please continue this story!

Yea! New chapter! I'm so happy you're translating this story, you and your Betas are doing an awesome job. I love how Zack's nonchalant attitude just walks over Cloud's insecurities so that they're already forming a friendship. Both of the SOLDIERS' unquestioning acceptance of his skills should go a long way towards making Cloud realize that not everyone is like the idiots in his village.

YAY! I'm so glad I came across this update!
It's been so long since I first read Chapter 1 of your story and I've been waiting anxiously for the next installment ever since then. I really like seeing Cloud being capable of surviving on his own and honing both his skills with a sword and his instincts in the wild, even without any proper guidance. I can't help but feel frustrated by how the village treats him, but I'm glad that he's all the stronger for it, as well as being able to accept the cruelty in human nature by what he's experienced as well as what he's read of Sephiroth's earlier years. If only he could somehow fix his own situation.

I hope that Cloud and Vincent interact more in some way too! I like the thought of the two stoic ones hanging out together hehe. And that Sephiroth and Zack come to be more than just strangers to him, if not help make his life in the village better. Surely they'll soon realise something is up if they keep observing?

Anyway, best of luck in continuing on with the story!

Good plot development. With reference to Seph's eyes you mean 'tampered with', not 'tempered' but your English is fantastic at any rate. I'm looking forward to more of this.
