Loved this story. It was nice to see everything aired out in the open. And how accepting Sam is.

god that was awesome!! so now trent knows what sam knows about what barricade's known about trent. and half the time i picture barricade as this growly, grumpy, stick in the mud and the other times he's total protective, uberloyal badass... with those beady red eyes.

I really enjoy your stories! This one reminded me of some difficult issues (and one person I still need to try and forgive) but you had me laughing over my image of Trent actually trying to thank Barricaide!

(Trent steps up nervously to face Barricaide)
Trent: "I-I-I w-wanted t-t-to" ::deep breath:: "Thank you!"
(Trent runs away (or at least tries to))
(Barricaide catches Trent; hauling Trent up to glare at him with those evil-looking red glowing eyes of his.)
Barricaide: (very calmly) "You're welcome."
(Barricaide actually resists just dropping Trent from this height (the kid's injured after all) and drives off after transforming)
(Trent goes to change his pants)
