Hey there! I just watched the movie today. I ADORED it, it was so sad, so heartwrenching! I was so torn by Steven's coming out speech; it was so touching! However, I am REALY sad with the way it ended! I wanted some sort of closure ... I wanted a super corny ending with Johnny coming out too and then just ... being a couple! ARG!

Anyway, thank you SO much for writing this fic, because I'm going to consider this the ending of the movie now! It really suits my mood, the ending of the movie, although I found it very realistic, just kind of depressed me xD

Sorry for the rant. Very well written story, I enjoyed it! And the ending was realy cute! =D

This is maybe a bit too quick for the sense of betrayal Steven clearly portrays in the film.

For all that it's a nice fluffy ending. :)

I really liked this, I think this is a much better ending to the storyline.
I watched the movie last night and was so angry at the end that I cried for like 10 minutes. I hated the way they left you hanging and waiting for more to happen. It left you confused and question what would happen the next day at school.
Johnny really loved him, so you know that he would, naturally, come to his senses and figure out what is important, but they don't show you any of that. They just end it.
It needs some sort of conclusion, or a sequel or something.

Well I read this and this is how I pictured how the rest of the movie would go. At least you give some sort of conclusion. This is wonderfully written and I enjoyed reading it.

I hated the ending for the movie and this is what I wished what would've happened. Them getting back together. Thank you for writing a much better ending for a good movie.

Thanks, finally Jonh and Steven together. I felt so sad because they didnt end well. But i think that something is missing. I know that Jonh loves Steven, but i would like preferred to read about the heart and mind of Jonh, Why he changes of opinion?. But besides for that very nice. I love the movie.

I really liked this story, it was sweet and gentle, and let's face it, it has the ending everyone really wanted from this film lol.

However I hope you don't mind if I profer some constructive criticism?

(1) I'm pretty sure that at the end of the movie, they have just finished school for the summer. Maybe I'm wrong, but I really think so. Therefore they are on holidays and have no reason to see each other/ get beaten up etc

(2) You need more motivation for John's change of heart. The issues that were present at the end of the film- his cowadice, his unwillingness to come out are still in effect. You give no reason why they have changed.

Apart from that, good work

I just saw this movie for the first time (a tragedy in and of itself) and I'm so glad to have found a good fic for it. ^_^ I couldn't help but search immediately for any fics set after the movie, with a happy ending. I love the way your wrote it, although I wish it were longer. ^_~ Ah well, good things are always too short. Rock on!

I've been waiting for a cute little continuation of that movie. I love that movie, and I like this. Its a nice little wrap up. Great job, it was very neatly done. Quick but sweet. Just the way I imagined in my mind =].

Very well written. I can actually see Johnny reacting that way. It's how he is for the entirety of the movie. Mess up, avoid all contact, beg for forgiveness. It fit very well.

I was really surprised to see a category for Get Real on here, the film has some particular resonance for me as I was one of the many schoolkid extras when they filmed it here in good old Basingstoke! Great story, very nice characterization. I enjoy your writing a lot, keep up the good work!

Aw I love this movie, I was so sad at the end. This is a really lovely tag to it and very sweet. Also the characters are spot on, I could hear Johnny's voice easily.
