Story: 8.5/10. You've got an interesting scene here. I like how you gradually introduce James' crush. I do think that the ending feels a bit too good.

Characters: 8.25/10. You have pretty good portrayals of both characters, especially Teddy who you give some interesting background on. With James, I sort of feel like you could give us a little more of his personality -- you give him really good, human reactions for the situation, but I don't get much of a sense for what he would be like outside this situation.

Creativity: 8.25/10. Interesting choice of pairing and not something I see very often, though there are a few things that are pretty common tropes in romance fics.

Writing: 8.75/10. You have very readable writing with no mistakes that I can see. Your style is nice in general and flows well, though I think that you have a fondness for one sentence paragraphs.

Believability: 8.5/10. I like the background that you provide and I think that setup is very believable. Like I said, the ending is a little suddenly wonderful for my tastes, but it isn't too over the top.

Overall: 8.5/10. Good little scene and I like that you tackled this next generation pairing. I'd like to see a little more of James' personality. For such a short ficlet, I think I would have liked an ending with more ambiguity, but that is just a matter of taste.
