i am so sorry to hear about your loss, and i hope that things have improved for you since you left the author note.

this is a really excellent story, you have done a wonderful job developing severus into a man with deep emotions and capable of expressing extreme tenderness. its a really fabulous fic, and i hope that one day you will continue with it. =)

I am very sorry to learn of your loss, I pray that you continue to heal and realize that there are people who care about you that are there for you always. i do hope that you will consider continuing this, although I do like where it stopped...I would like to see Snape come to fruition again with is new white wand, nice little touch there with the "rebirth" reference :)

It's been a long time since I've seen such a beautiful, lengthy, well-written epic such as this. It's difficult to know where to begin. Everything about this story is positively, delightfully perfect (excepting a couple typos, which were hardly noticeable), from the characterization to the style to the moods. Just reading this is somewhat of an emotional rollercoaster- your way with words draws me in so fully that I cannot help but feel what the characters feel: their joy, grief, and everything in between.

Rarely do I see a SS/HG romance done so RIGHT, so plausibly, so beautifully. The way they face their difficulties and overcome them is incredibly perfect- so... real. Both of them are absolutely true to their characters in the books, which is what makes this such an intense read. There was no jumping into the sex, and even the "push" you used to get them together (the apprenticeship) was much more plausible than what I see in most SS/HG fics. You give Severus and Hermione a chemistry which I have never before seen, and I just cannot get over how perfect it is.

Please allow me to offer my deepest condolences for your loss, whatever it may be. I don't think I need to say at this point that I would be DELIGHTED to see this story continued, but having suffered a few losses myself, I quite understand. Your life is more important and you should focus on caring for yourself and your loved ones. :) However, I do hope you will come back to this when you feel ready. It's been a hell of a journey reading so far, and I can't help but feel that I am better for the experience. I hope you feel the same way about writing it. :) Again, I am sorry for your loss, and I hope you make a full and speedy (emotional and/or physical) recovery. <3

This is such a well written story that you just can not stop. Your are a extremely gifted story teller and I do look forward to future chapters and reading your other stories. I just wanted to say that your story is wonderful. Your characterisations are spot on, as far as I am concerned. The plot is engaging, and the diaogue flow so well!

Vronsky gives me the creeps, as I am sure he is meant to do, for good reason. I am surprised at Snape for not getting his number right off the bat.

I will be happy to read more whenever you write it. No pressure, though. :) Rest, friend, for now. Just rest.

Oh, dear. It's hard to write about hope when you feel it being taken away from you. The shadow of death can ruin everything. My heart goes out to you and yours. (but do add a new chapter, rather than replace; I can't review replaced chapters, but I can review new ones).

Love in the valley of the shadow of death is always hard; but it's necessary, too.
