TheTwilightRurouni 2009-04-04 . chapter 1I don't read Blood+ often, mainly because I like the anime so much that fanfiction usually drives me crazy. I won't even write it. But this was good. The concept, the scenario, it was all there. Anything revolving around Saya and Haji (I use the 'j' spelling) and the cello is great as far as I'm concerned. I loved the title too. This whole piece was quite touching, it made me smile. As for what was wrong, Saya was just a bit OOC in my opinion. Not all the time, just occasionally she would say things that seemed off. Not wrong, just off. So overall it was fine. Other things were mechanical errors throughout dealing with commas, periods, spelling and things like that. I see english is not your native language though, so I think it was all acceptable, and it didn't disrupt the flow of the story. One thing that wasn't wrong but I think could be fixed, and this is just advice, is the walls of text you have. As a reader it's intimidating to see ten lines of straight text with no paragraphing. If you split up the longer paragraphs it will be easier to read. But that's just small stuff...and I seem to have turned this into a bad review with all the critiquing. Darn. I really did enjoy this, I hate to end on a bad note. So let's not.
I can always rant about how great stories are, so let's see here. I think part of what I liked so much was that you got the Saya/Haji relationship down. Haji is stoic and reserved, always there watching over Saya. That's how he shows his love, it's not some steamy romance, and you got it right. Maybe I just like that kind of representation, but the loyal body guard always makes me cheer for the pairing. So in the end, it all comes down to you were accurate and stayed canon. You didn't turn one of the best animes ever into something it's not, so thanks!

Evil Imp 2009-03-24 . chapter 1I like this a lot. It's very...cute? I don't know how to describe it but it's romantic without hitting you over the head with it, like Saya and Haji's relationship in Blood+. Oh, look, I did know how to describe it ;D Wonderful job |
