I liked this story; although the situation seems somewhat contrived, it was an enjoyable read.

Asuna seems way to distrustful of Negi, though; I'd expect her to be leery of an older Negi, but she's trying to forbid him from being alone with Nodoka anywhere for any reason, and she's concerned about Negi forcing Nodoka into something using the link? That would be going way, way over the line, and I'm surprised Asuna thinks that of Negi. A more realistic concern would be Negi and Nodoka both wanting to do something with nobody else around.

I think there's no need to continue this story; this is a great stopping point. I'd like to see more MSN fic from you, maybe a sequel to this, but it sounds like you've lost your interest in Negima.

I think that "Harem without an end in sight" is the right setup for Negima. The reasons for this are even given in the manga; Negi is only 10 and doesn't have romantic feelings yet, and a student-teacher romance would be inappropriate (although that isn't stopping his students).

I think the manga has enough scenes with Negi and Nodoka to show that something could happen in a few (story) years, but I doubt the manga will last that long.
