It’s just me again, this time reviewing the “sequel” or epilogue to “With My Life”. Again, I have to say I just love your style of writing – you truly have a gift! There’s something so poetic to it all, kind of ethereal and exalted, and this is felt especially when there’s a spiritual element to it – it’s actually felt all throughout this entire piece, and it’s very compelling.

I like that you added an extra element to this story that wasn’t in “With My Life”, and that is Tru’s pregnancy and miscarriage – adds to the tragedy! It gives the sense that, even though Tru kept the truth from Jack, love was still the trigger for bringing her back. And Jensen’s appearance at the end was unexpected and chilling, and I love the reversal of the line “for a little while”, this time not being used in loving way, but for very sinister and malevolent means.

Again, love the tie in with Dollhouse and the use of the quotes from that show – it shows that you’ve been able to transfer material from one show to another and make it relevant to the show it didn’t originate from.

Nice job :)

First of all, thank you for the sweet dedication. I am touched and honored. I am happy to know that I can stir some creativity in someone as talented as you.

On with the review:
The title, 'For a Little While' and the other lines that you creatively used from Dollhouse's customary dialogue between Topher, the programmer, and the actives right after the wiping process, is a genius move on your side. For someone familiar with Dollhouse and those famous lines, the conversation going on between the mother and the daughter brings to mind a beautiful imagery of the complete and the empty, the old and the new, the all-knowledgeable and the innocent. For someone who is not familiar with Dollhouse, the imagery is still one that brings love, compassion and free will. You have transformed those lines to something that carries with it a spiritual and graceful meaning.

"You are both connected to one another beyond this life, beyond this Earth, in a place higher than the ethereal plane." Lovely !
The "Trigger" as you put it reminds me of Charmed and Leo, which is an act of love. And I love how you had Jack see "The Truth".

Thank you for bringing Life back to life. I cried the first time I read your first chapter, but now I can relax, knowing that Tru has a chance to live and be happy with the man she loves… for a little while…
