Very chilly ending. He kept the information secret and took it to his grave; a hero-one of the good guys just as he was musing early on in the story. Well done.

I was reading this, and got to the end thinking that I've read quite a few of your stories that seem rather cynical. I hope things are going well for you right now. ;

Wonderful! I have read the one-shot that this story follows before (it's in my favorites too) and I love what you have done with it. Vader should have known that someone is always watching. And it's so tragic that the agent died to give Vader a chance, and at the same time it's fitting too. I absolutely loved it, great job!

It was really cool to read that knowing what you already do about the story, very well written. Good turns of a phrase. Enjoyed new character. I enjoyed hearing from a new character’s point of view, someone not personally connected. It had more depth by giving us a different perceptive. I liked how he decided to delete the tape. You could really hear him thinking it through, following along his thought process with him. Just for a moment he got to see as Vader as human, something most people didn’t get the chance to do.

I love it! You put a wonderful spin on that last phrase that I didn't even think of when I wrote it. And I suspect that you've read "Ghost Story" as well (still one of my all-time favorites), 'cause I love the echos of that line about hope for the galaxy.

I read the original and this definitely does it justice. Great follow up. I love the path path of logic you follow and the reasoning seemed very realistic. Found the ending very funny, oh the irony...
