tvj12 5/10/12 . chapter 1I really enjoyed this crossover. I especially liked that you showcased Dean's military hand-to-hand training and how he was able to keep the upper hand from Don. This is a great starting block for the rest of your Numb3rs/SPN crossovers, and a fun way (for us!) to introduce them to each other. -tvj12 |
 KayValo87 3/12/12 . chapter 1Hey,
So I have read this story before, but I just HAD to read it again. This is, by far, one of the best Supernatural crossovers I have ever read. (And I read a LOT.)
Your characterization is perfect. I love how, even beat by Dean, Don is still not weak. (Most stories I read have one of the two a virtual superhero and the other a bumbling idiot.)
Again, one of the best ever, right up there with your other crossovers. :)
Well Done. |
Slinky-and-the-BloodyWands 12/6/11 . chapter 1So, I just now got in to watching Numb3rs, but I'm a long time Supernatural fan. Great crossover! I really enjoyed Don's POV of the events ;) |
Raven Aorla 10/17/11 . chapter 1Well-written. Would love to see more. |
 CD57 7/7/11 . chapter 1Hey, ALeo!
long time no see... With the Numb3rs show having stopped, the fandom got a bit quiet, sadly enough. Anyway, I've read this story before but I'd never watched Supernatural. And now, of course, since there is no more Numb3rs, I started watching it, with my son, and we are loving it!
We are somewhere in season three, with Dean having a serious appointment in the Pit coming up eeuw
So anyway, I've come across this X-over again, and it is SO much more fun reading this!
Dean and Don togehter, that is just so cool.
I loved how you did that. Great job!
Dud you write SUpernatural stand-alons, too?

 Krycekov 6/6/11 . chapter 1Nice chapter. I enjoyed it.
You should look into an America-picker. "Piss-ant useless toy. When are they gonna give you lot real guns?" is pretty far off from California slang. |
Noelani618 4/2/11 . chapter 1I absolutely love this story and its sequels! Yes, I know its been a couple years since you originally posted em, but I wanted to let you know anyway. )
You did a fantastic job with the characterization of all involved and Don's introduction to the supernatural is completely tense and realistic. Especially Dean. A lot of writers tend to make him too goofy, idiotic, or distracted by the fairer sex in crossovers, and pay little attention to the fact that Dean Winchester is a HUNTER and he is absolutely deadly when he chooses to be. Opps, didn't mean to rant. *sheepish smile*
Really I just wanted to say I love this crossover and if you ever are inspired to write more about the Winchesters and Don Eppes, I would certainly read it!
Thanks for sharing this story! D |
Kitchen Klutz 9/3/10 . chapter 1I love the Don/Dean interaction. If I could write them as well as you I'd definetly do a story on them. :) |
 Saffygirl 1/16/10 . chapter 1Awesome fic!
Onto the next one! |
 pinkphoenix1985 7/12/09 . chapter 1this is really great! |
spnMom 5/31/09 . chapter 1I loved this story! Numb3rs and Supernatural were born to be combined. Two sets of brothers, FBI and FBI's most wanted... Perfect! I would love to see 50 more stories like this, thanks for posting! |
Eris R. Lebeau 4/20/09 . chapter 1I enjoyed reading this. Sam, Dean, and Don were all in character. I loved Don's POV as he witnessed a "typical" day in the life of the Winchester brothers. I was hoping there would be more to this story... I so wanted to see Charlie use some sort of mathematical model to catch Sam and Dean... maybe there's some sort of mathematical pattern in the symbols they drew for the exorcism? And it would be hilarious to see Charlie try to rationalize an encounter with a supernatural being. |
Zubeneschamali 3/27/09 . chapter 1Bwa-ha-ha, you've been hooked like me. Er, that is, yay, you did it! I've been dying to read a Don vs. Dean fic, too, and you not only beat me to it, but did it so well that I can put that particular plot bunny on the back burner.
You've got Dean down pretty well, esp. from Don's POV. I liked how Don sensed his honesty and compassion in the middle of what had to be a pretty damn scary situation. Loved Dean ridiculing the Glock, too. You are going to write a sequel, right? *bounces* |
QuickenMyEnd 3/27/09 . chapter 1I haven't seen any Supernatural episodes, but now I really want to start... |
Ms.GrahamCracker 3/26/09 . chapter 1Before I go into too much detail, let me just say I loved it! Really! Just sorry it has taken me this long to let you know.
I watch and adore both shows and this was a real treat. I love Don's big, bad ass FBI persona and Dean's cocky, in-your-face attitude makes him one of my favorite tv personalities. The two of them together is heaven. They are alike in so many ways, but the Winchesters are seriously hampered by the need to keep what they do secret.
I loved the note Dean left in Don's vest; a reassurance that the deaths would stop with his typical arrogant 'don't look for us, you won't find us' taunting the agents.
The readers who watch both shows knew Dean and Sam were not going to burn Don alive (unless he was no longer Don) but you projected Don's terror very convincingly. He only knew them as murders, not the saviours they are. Very good.
This was very exciting, well written, full of action and yummy images of Don and the Winchesters.
I believe Charlie told Don in the pilot that experiments need repeated trials to reach a conclusion. I think you should continue to experiment with these characters. I'll be glad to study the results and offer constructive feedback. I'm at your disposal. |
