So cool. I love how you have his thoughts and that little cynical voice in the back of his head all battering at him. At first I thought it was Sam butting up against the way of life like he did all through the first season, but then realized it was Dean and we have come full circle.

Wow, this was very well done. I really liked how you used the parenthetical remarks to show that the thoughts he had going on underneath weren't always the same as the thoughts he acknowledged having, and often were contradictory. It was a powerful device.

This was a beautiful phrase: "like a dream from another world". Kinda haunting.

And this whole paragraph was just really powerful: "All he’s been dreaming about lately is (torture) redemption, a way to make everything he’s done disappear. But now that he’s seen it (you guys are screwed), all he can do is shy away from the light."
