the fact that By the Rose is somewhat changed is really the biggest motivator. I wonder what i would mean for all the fanart I have for you.

I haven't read any of the Endless sereies, save for a chapter or two, but I have constatnly run across them in many other works.

I am very impressed by what I have read here. I love the intreactions and doubts Utena had, and Anthy's fear. I also loved the way you worked the movie into it all. I'm glad I spent the time to read it.

Well-written, pleasing flow, and intriguing ideas. I don't follow Sandman myself but you combined it with Utena beautifully (from what I could tell lol).

I really liked your portrayal of Utena (esp a Utena in identity crisis). She kept hold of her essentials, the desire to be the prince, and the desire to find/save/be with Anthy, and that was powerful.

Your Anthy is absorbing too...cool idea about her true being, and her reactions to Utena were telling. I particularly liked having the Utena movie as the rose bride's dream, and Utena's flabbergasted reaction. Clev-er. XD

Having sung those praises, I found the ending unsatisfying (although not unrealistic or anything like that), and would have preferred a confrontation with Akio in this particular world/setting. I think that's in part because I'm not a fan of original characters in fanfic (usually), but I'll say more about that when I review the sequel. Heh.

Wow. That was very nice. And what an interesting way to align the anime and the movie with each other! Thank you. It was very entertaining and I enjoyed it a lot. I've never read Gaiman (seen his work around a lot but not actually picked it up) but you've left me very curious. I may just have to go see what all the fuss is about :).

It's not often that I get to find a fanfic as beautifully written as yours, MusedMoose. If the story of Utena continued on, I can easily see each one of your chapters as an episode, and not many people can pull that off. And while I have never read any of the books from "The Sandman" series, the way you portray the characters (Morpheus and Desire, specifically) has gotten me so interested, I want to head out and buy the first volume already!
