I like the idea for nine wishes to be honest

I like the first two ideas the best. Sounds like they have real good merit.

That Nine wishes seems like it would have potential. Hell the whole story of Ranma's journey in hell and his climb to Grand Duke of Lictat would be a good story with crossovers of various stories like Naruto or Bleach where he appears.

I don't like the idea of The Nine Wishes of Shinji Ikari. I love the idea of A Rivary That Binds. I also really like and am glad in fact very much for the third idea known as Iron Fists, Golden Hearts.

Of these three, I like "The Nine Wishes of Shinji Ikari" best. I'm really hoping that more work gets put into that one, as sounds really neat. I never cared much for Ukyo or Shampoo as a single character, and having either of them being the starring role in a crossover... yeah, I just have no interest in reading that.


Also, on a whole, I don't care for next generation stories. There are a few that are okay, but they are direct sequels of stories that came before, and even then, there is still a lot of focus on the original characters instead of shifting everything to the new generation.

I vote for the nine wishes of Shinji Ikari. Ranma, Grand Duke of house Lictat in the evangelion universe seems like something that would be very entertaining to read. Besides, of the three ideas, a dark version of Ranma in a dark universe seems to fit best.

Sounds like such a good story, along with anything that involves Grand Duke Ranma of House Lictat. So if this one could be made into a story it would be great.

I'm not sure how we vote for which story we want but I'm going to vote for The Nine Wishes of Shinji Ikari. I liked the idea of Ranma the Grand Demon Duke.

These are great! It really seems like you have enough ideas for a story that stands on its own. Either way keep it up!

I like the 3rd NGE concept the most, but would not mind Kodachi rather than Shampoo as the wife.

Despite her insanity, I could picture her as better support in the role than Shampoo.

Also... I cannot picture Nerv hiring them. I can picture the pilots taking a shine to them after they rescued them though.

Would Ranma and wife be ages in manga (maybe by inadvertant transport to the future), or adults now?

Out of the 3 of those, A Rivalry that Binds interests me the most. I don't think Iron Fists, Golden Hearts would interest me that much. The Nine Wishes of Shinji Ikari seems like it would be fun to read, but still the second option seems to hold the most promise. I can't see Ukyo acting like Rei Ayanami at all so it would be interesting to see how that's pulled off. I also want to know how Shampoo isn't going to be immediately figured out when she can't speak German. Not to mention, how would both of them deal with not having any of their former physical prowess? Are they going to retrain themselves, or settle for the new situation? I don't see Shampoo accepting that at all. Either way, it should be an interesting read, so that's the one that gets my vote.

Of these three, I think I would be most interested in the third one.

For the first, the idea looks like it would be pretty interesting, but it would probably be better to have it as a straight Eva fic, instead of as a Ranma cross. If you don't mind my saying so, Grand Duke Ranma doesn't really seem like Ranma to me, more of a demon that happens to have all of his skills and memories.

The second I'm rather wary of. Most of the character A replaced with character B fics I've seen seem to go bad, though I've seen some that have worked. Also, unless the replacing characters get the memories of the people they replace, it would be difficult, if not impossible for others to replace them. For example Nerv would certainly have had security passwords and keypad codes that Rei and possibly Asuka would be expected to know. Forgetting these things would be, in my mind, extremely out of character for them, and someone would most likely pick up on this. Both Rei's and Asuka's personalities are well know to Nerv's higher ups, as both were raised within Nerv. As a side note, Nerv apparently has some method of detecting and measuring mental contamination, which while intended to detect contamination from the Evas or the Angels, might pick up on the swap. Also, if they are trying to get home while concealing that they've switched, you'd likely get a slight variant on Eva canon, plus some scrambles to maintain the masquerade.
It might be just as/more interesting to see what Rei and Asuka do when they are swapped into Nerima, and how everyone reacts to them.
Sorry for rambling.

Anyway, the third story looks to me like the best bet of the bunch. As wandering martial artists who live off the grid at the best of times, and with the state of records after Second Impact, it would be fairly easy to insert Ranma and Shampoo without raising too many alarm bells, and the thought of letting the main Eva cast see what a fairly non-screwed up relationship looks like is amusing on its own. This one seems to me as having the easiest possibility to be a believable crossover.

I think your first Idea "The Nine Wishes of Shinji Ikari" is your best idea for an Evengelion(SP?)/Ranma crossover, just for the total amount of chaos you can do with this... Also I just enjoy your Moments from the Infernum, my favorite part of this fiction.
