Heartbreaking, but thank you for this much more nuanced exploration of race than TP affords us in the books.

I do have one minor quibble and it is only with your author's note--absolute monarchies are hardly ever absolute--you recognize this yourself in the early scheming of nobles.

This is an interesting take on this. I like some of the language and concepts, but I'm not sure I believe Dove would be such a bad queen. It's true she would be a teenager, but she's smart enough to have advisers. Her power may not be as absolute as you think. She would be far from perfect, but I don't know if she'd cause the whole dynasty to fall within three or so years, either. Still, I see your point and enjoyed this little piece.

Good job! Your descriptions in this chapter were amazing. I really enjoyed the use of the song, her memory and the present before she drank the wine.

This really reminded me of the Elizabeth movies, for some reason. It was good.

This is an amazing story, and deals with a number of issues I had with the end of TQ and the way it was left up in the air, with and illusion of peace. You told the story in a wonderful way - the cast of characters felt flawless, the story flowed well and the pace of the story was just right. You ought to be congratulated on writing such a great piece :)

Ok, I agree with 2 things here - with KrisEleven, in that I would read whatever you have to offer us; and with the idea in the story about female rulers being disastrous... just look at Britain's former PM Margeret Thatcher as an example, or Queen Mary the First.

I'd really appreciate you updating Shadowlit Facades or at least making a sequel to it. It is a really good read and I'd like to see more of it. But if you feel you can't finish it or add anymore to that incomplete story... I would appreciate you putting it up for adoption. I would adopt it as would several others if you can't find it in you to finish Shadowlit Facades. Thanks for you time.

I would read anything you put up. This was amazing. While Dove's fate is hardly happy this read so truthfully that I was completely caught up in it. I loved the different views of the rule- I loved how you switched to different voices. It was amazingly written- I didn't see a single error in the structure. I also loved the way you used the quotes from the books. They fit really well into the feel of the story.
