Yeah! I knew you wouldn't disappoint. I love your Severus/Hermione fics, so I knew you'd write great Daine/Numair stories. This is lovely. I sometimes forget that I think half the reason I'm so into SSHG is because I loved Daine/Numair first. I am going to go read the sequels now. Thank you for sharing.

I've not ever really read much Tortall fanfics, which is strange, since I've been reading Tortall since long before Harry Potter. I love this first chapter already, it was beautiful. I am very excited to read the remainder of this story and the sequels that follow. Daine and Numair are my two all-time favorite characters, though Beka Cooper is a close second. Thank you for sharing.

I want to write a long, detailed review, but all I can think off is yay! I'll definitely be revisiting this story whenever I'm feeling in need of some Immortals goodness.. and reading the rest of the series too, of course!

I was really excited to read your fic because I've always wanted to read one like it and finally finding exactly what I wanted seemed too good to be true, but there it is. I reread the first book right before reading this, since they're not too long and I'm lucky enough to read fairly quickly, and it still wasn't boring at all reading this. I mean, I've always loved rereading books, and I've read the Immortals series loads of times already and have never gotten bored of them before, but still.

I absolutely adore your writing, and I think you're completely spot on in your portrayal of Numair. I'm really looking forward to reading the next ones, which I can, because they're quite done already! Although I will have to reread the actual books first. (it's been long enough that I don't really remember what happened, and I like reading them again so I know what's happening from Daine's point of view so I can better appreciate Numair's, if that sentence makes any sense at all.)

I really enjoyed reading this story!

I like this story! You write Numair just as I imagined him! You are also a very good writer, and I don't think that I spotted any grammar or spelling mistakes. Nice job!

Second time reading this and am just as impressed as the first time I read this. All of the text flows really well, plus she adds some things that were vaguely mentioned in the book, like the kraken being chased away, and makes them completely believable. I don't think tamora pierce herself could do this any better. This continues to be one of my favorite stories and probably will be for a while.

As everyone else is saying, this is amazing, keep it up! I'll be reading your other two and looking forward to Realms of the Gods, if you know what i mean ;)

I find reading this rather monotonous not from anything you have done but because I have read wild magic so recently. (last week recently). I find the dialogue repetitive while still so fresh in my mind. I love reading Numair's extra insights, however and will continue to press on never the less. Very nice work!

I just finished re-reading the series and I didn't want to be done with it so I went asearching for some good fanfics to read. This one is fantastic! Numair is very in character and I also love how he and Alanna bounce off each other. I can't wait to read the others!
