Continued kudos for an very interesting story. You have given some clarity to the issue that I mentioned in Chapter with Fenton & Joe, but you have still have allowed for some mystery with regard to it. No problem with that--gradual revelation is an effective tool.

You have also done a very good job bringing the potential mystery of a 3rd party involved with Snake & Hawk (Snake's conversation on the phone in Chapter 7 and then the smoke bomb in Chapter 8 with Joe's logical understanding of a 2nd person being involved--was it Snake or someone else?) Good job.

Looking forward to the continuation of the story.

I think you have done a good job with this story. The premise is a little outlandish, but I have no problem with that as long as the writing fits. I do have some issue with the police dismissing the threats as a joke (especially after Columbine), but it is not impossible that they could do that, so I can live with it. Fenton not allowing Joe to speak to him about the dolls and threats may seem to be a stretch, but I can accept it based upon the timing of Joe's interruption. I look forward to reading more.
