Clodia 2009-03-28 . chapter 1Remarkable. You have such a fierce and concentrated atmosphere here that it seems almost claustrophobic. The weariness and grief and different reactions of different personalities comes through so well. UnPratchettish in that I don't recall Pratchett writing his characters with such intense *feeling* (or darkness), but it is a while since I read Monstrous Regiment so my memory may be colouring everything lighter. You may have a couple of typos towards the end (She brazes herself, a devil in a read coat).
In short, very affecting. Thank you! |
 Gogol 2009-03-27 . chapter 1I uh. I.
I would say this is the most utterly horrible and lovely Discworld fanfiction I've ever seen, but I have read your other stuff. And I mean 'horrible' in the best possible sense of the word. It's so pretty, in an awful way. Guh. I don't really have anything to say, I mean, you're obviously a brilliant writer and this is depressing as hell and that's about it, really. |
